Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra rumored to ditch 10x periscope module

Samsung will instead offer a new 50MP telephoto module with 5x optical zoom.

Now I even wonder if 3x is needed next to 200mp sensor, when they themselves present 200mp as capable of delivering 4x.
As for 10x I will really miss that, if 50mp was capable of delivering standard Bayer detail, I wouldn't care.

    That's one of the best, and more unique features of the S23 Ultra, so it doesn't seem like a good idea to ditch it, but if the 50mp 5x module can be better, then I guess it's all good, but still seems a bit odd.

      This would make the S24U less competitive vs others imo. A high quality 5x module would be great but the 10x zoom is what sold me on the S23 Ultra over the other flagships
