NickValok, 27 Sep 2023Wrong, Kuo is only justifying TSMC because he's Taiwan... moreIt was never about TSMC foundry or Samsung foundry
It was always about the cooling and the UI Optimisation

Review units are always fine.
Just like pixel 6 pro, no reviewer complained when internet was flooded with issues reports (poor signal, excessive battery drain, overheating, extreme screen flickering, cracked cam glass out of nowhere, loose rear panel).

Apple tried to save a few grams of cooling material to reduce weight, and as a result compromised the entire phone. Great move there Apple. It's really made a difference on an already heavy phone, which no one had a problem with, but somehow they thought let's push this titanium gimmick further by saving more weight at the cost of thermals

Now they can quote much higher performance numbers for iPhone 16 and A18 when they put back the adequate cooling required.

Well, they fixed the radiation problem with an update, so they can just release another update to fix this hardware problem. Better to downgrade the hardware by softwares, instead of making the hardware correctly.! Right apple!

I don't believe what the internet says until the GSMArena review because GSMArena has been a reliable source for me since I first joined.

[deleted post]It's nothing to do with where it's made as Apple makes it out of all same materials. No way am I defending Apple as I can't stand them. But they shout loudly about a few grams lighter titanium but it causes issues nobody cares about titanium as long as it's well made. Now the back glass is more cheaply made cos it can be removed and repaired more easily. So it cracks easily. As for thermals Apple messed up end of conversation.
