-Trix-, 02 Oct 2023getting 15 pro max today so interesting to see if this just... moreBeing totally honest Trix, if I were looking to pick one up now, there is enough of a storm here to at least leave me a bit sceptical. But I pre ordered mine for collection on launch day.
Thankfully, I have not been getting these issues, yes I’m sure I could make this device get warm if I really wanted it to, and it was indeed warm during initial set up and iCloud restore, but then both tend to be true of any smartphone really. Using it the way I usually do, it’s just fine, but with a nice battery boost over my previous 14 Pro, and really pleasing camera upgrades.
Had I been getting any of this ‘over heating’ stuff happening, or if this device was behaving in any way I found inferior to my previous device then I would have returned it straight away, I have returned many devices in the past for far less.
So whilst it would appear there is some issue that needs addressing, said issue has I think been blown way out of proportion online, because…well it’s Apple, any negative news regarding them is a virtual gold mine online.
As it stands right now, Apple has put up by acknowledging, now they need to step up by correcting.

This Apple instead of acknowledging is their failure tey said some apps and app developers are culprit.
Good luck finding among 2 billions apps in IOS those who are responsible for overheating and fill a form to all responsible for overheating to fix the issue.
Will end like Don Quiote De La Mancha fight against windmills.
But hey hands off we are Apple we made perfect device only those App developers are responsible for failing of Iphone 15 Pro and Pro max.
We will reduce CPU and GPU power during charging to something equal to Helio A22 to not make your phone hot.
Untill the fix feel free to use your phone as a frying pan for your morning breakfast for sausages and mashed eggs.

iOS Bugs?? i'm fine with ios 17.0.2 on my iPhone 14 Pro Max no issues no battery drain no overheating. A17 Pro chip is the problem 3nm mmmm

... moreExcept it has been ‘discovered by the public’ and Apple have promised a fix. Now it’s time to see if they live up to that promise, because it’s going to damage their reputation and that of the iPhone as a series if they do not.
And pointing the fingers at some 3rd party apps is hardly a. A new thing, or b. exclusive to Apple now is it. Unless poorly optimised apps haven’t ever been blamed for any software shenanigans at any time and on any platform ever prior to this particular case 🤔
I have a one of these devices, thankfully I’m not getting these issues, this device is running about as cool as any smartphone I have used, and with some pretty impressive battery life. Maybe that’s because I don’t waste large swathes of my day playing video games or scrolling pointless social media posts on it, who knows 🤷
Either way, Apple have acknowledged an issue and promised a fix, now they either do that or deal with the consequences, just like any other company.

Reminds me when first time I own Nokia Lumia 930 when there’re got overheating issues, and Microsoft solve overheat problems with software updates with no performance compromise.
I guess Apple will solve the problem
