Samsung to further cut production of memory chips to stem the losses

The company's memory chip business posted its first loss in 14 years in Q1. Production of DRAM and NAND chips will be reduced to deal with the slump in demand.

There is a huge stock of NAND and DRAM chips. And yet all these laptops and phones makers are being so stingy on both, and soldering them on the laptop preventing upgrades. No wonder people are not buying up these chips.

Samsung, 128GB of top performing flash is less than $6. Why are you not giving 256GB on all your phones?

      If anyone need to store files within 15 GB limit they can use that.
      For more storage they can use multiple gmail accounts and increase their cloud storage capacity by not paying anything.
      Disadvantages are - 1) Free services = low privacy, 2) Can't store 1 file above 15 GB as it is the limit per account.

                                  The thing is, every other company in China were scared/under pressure.
                                  They afraid if some western leader sleep with the wrong pillow and in the morning targeted them. So, they all try to diversified, and perhaps not relying on western brand.

The moment they'll leave with more than 50% of their production, apple will feel it. Already Huawei is has a huge demand and if they stabilize and increase their chip quality.
