Samsung to further cut production of memory chips to stem the losses

The company's memory chip business posted its first loss in 14 years in Q1. Production of DRAM and NAND chips will be reduced to deal with the slump in demand.

    Tell me any other brand starting at 512GB on their phones? Last I heard, all the rest start at 128GB or even 64GB.

        may be nobody is buying their chips in india because they provide no replacement or repair under warranty. where is sandisk have no question asked replacement policy.

            I really don't think most people need the latest hardware. Even LPDDR4X-4266 is still more than good enough for everyday use.

                    DarlingYext, 02 Oct 2023Now do the same with Exynos chipsets as well.Given that really only Samsung Electronics is buying Exynos chips, they are likely not being mass stockpiled like they could for NAND and DRAM chips, where there are scores, if not hundreds of potential buyers.

                            3 years ago there was a shortage of chips and now they have to reduce production due to excess chips... ahh humanity!
