Mobilemaster, 03 Oct 2023It is good to see Europe back at making things! I mean Euro... moreWhere you gonna source your rare earth metals and other raw materials? Heck, EU was buying Russian oil that were resold by Indians and Chinese lol.

Zero, 03 Oct 2023The choice is of course Asus. The choice for my market is to just give up now that Sony and Asus won't allow us to unlock the bootloader, and we have no ETA for the Fairphone 5. So even if I'm constantly calling out the BS I deal with with on my Pixel, it's the last "open" model you can get in NA.

Come on nokia . Don't use sd 695 processor because it comes with only wifi 4

AnonD-546724, 03 Oct 2023"ships with Android 12 out of the box" 🥴 Andro... moreOn the other hand, this phone does support n71, so it might be usable in NA.

Dometalican, 03 Oct 2023I guess that's the price paid for the software devs to... moreStarting from Android 12? hehe, as for your question, labor in the United States as long as it is not legal citizens... will be cheap.

Whoever buys this needs to be locked down, their wallets to be forbidden from further using and needs medical help.

"..HMD Global is now manufacturing 5G smartphones in Europe – more specifically in Hungary.."

That is really cool and makes me happy as a hungarian!

rizki1, 03 Oct 2023Sony: flagship that has 3.5mm with microSD Nokia : rugged ... moreThe choice is of course Asus.

Anton., 03 Oct 2023Wait guys, I don't know if I'm missing the point,... moreI guess that's the price paid for the software devs to give it three OS updates (if they're still committed) and to pay the assembly line workers a better wage...

Makes we wonder how much an American-Made phone would sell for here...

When it will be launched in India?

rizki1, 03 Oct 2023now imagine this being sold in Asia, it could be 1000 euros more.Well. Imported goods get an higher cost because of taxes.

The same I can say for Africa.

In Cape Verde the tax is 20% if I'm not mistaken, so any retailers that had to pay taxes, hikes the price at 30% or more.

justasmile, 03 Oct 2023Now Nokia is more of a rugged phone manufacturer.Sony: flagship that has 3.5mm with microSD
Nokia : rugged phone, ultra low end phone
Asus: high end compact phone and gaming
                              fairphone : modular phone

now you have these niche phone to choose from.

It is good to see Europe back at making things! I mean Europe is a big continent with more than 700 million people. More the countries who manufacture all types of things it makes things easier.
