Not even on the radar for me. Samsung or Apple.
Would consider the Zenfone if it was cheaper. But that’s it for me.

Voted not for me there are lot better devices outside for much less money and with much more accesories in box and a lot faster charging.
Rocking Motorola edge 40 pro for 789 eur cost way less than 8 pro and is way better apart the updates which does not cost 300 more buck to be worth compared to my phone.
Also got like 50-+100 eur worth of accesories n box comapred to Google pixel where they barely gives you cable and a sim ejector tool.
Google went downhill with every new device.
They cost way more and are way vorse than previous generation.
Last google pixel were 4 series. Since then all looks like one device like a sandwich made a 4 year old kid.

Hard NO. Google phones were unreliable even before they started using Scamsung internals.

Switch from cool and advanced Samsung to boring and underpowered Pixel? Never ever.

casualtechs, 08 Oct 2023Not in the options but I would consider the 8 over the upco... moreYou do know that Tensor G3 is made by Samsung, don't you?

Obviously not.
The 7 years of updates are pointless if the chipset is worse than A14 bionic

Definitely not additional software updates just slow phone's down google crappy tensor chip as well
Google play store and google play services just artificially slow the phone down plus lack of built-in cooling system another drawback
Google a blootware ad company look at YouTube for example that they own they only do software updates inorder too lock down the OS and take away you're freedom something people should complain about not be happy with
Better brand's elsewhere

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2023Google have given the 8 the exact same endurance rating as ... moreI don't know how Google did their battery endurance test. But what I tested on Pixel 8 pro is around 1 hour more battery life then Pixel 7 pro. I am 100% sure of that.

ashrobb, 08 Oct 2023I am actually interested this time, waiting to see reviews ... moreGoogles website states same battery endurance as last years phone's.. don't understand google rationale bumping up their rrp for essentially a thermometer sensor and a flat screen.. hoping the reviews are positive but at almost apple prices now, they're not doing themselves any favors

Tried the Google Pixel 6a and it failed big time. We never got married or even became friends. I was a tolerable acquaintance I keept trying to get rid off. After four months it was exchanged with something less rigid and more configurable.
The hardware was absolutely stunning, but the Android system Google forces on one was a no-no for me.
Just to mention a few.
- Camera app was not advanced enough.
- Unable to use many third party camera apps (huge lag from taking the photo, until it's actually done).
- No quick access to wi-fi on-off.
- Cannot get rid og At A Glance on your main screen.
- ...
Not too hot on trying out an upgraded model yet...

Google Pixel unfortunately is not fully supported in Europe, for example, in most European countries it is not supported at all.

I am actually interested this time, waiting to see reviews about the Tensor G3. The switch from two X1 cores to a single X3 and modern A715/A510 cores should make quite the difference in heat output and battery life, even on Samsung's fab process.
