Yet another copycat move by Samsung from Apple. Now Samsung is starting to separate their S lineup even more by giving inferior chipsets to non-Ultra models - just like how Apple did with the Pros and regular iPhones.

Shame on you Samsung. Always copying the scummy tactics of Apple.

If Samsung do a similar trick like Vivo by only giving Exynos to non-Ultra model, that would have been fine. But different chipset for different region? I don't think that's a good idea.

I hope my country also gets Snapdragon. Until Exynos is equal I'm not recommending buying a Samsung with Exynos as of now.

Most other samsung phones are not selling well except s series.and samsung revenues fell drastically year over year. So they are looking to squeeze even more money using S series.

SE: NOT going to thr Communicator layout forced the added keyboard which thr P990i removed but using a dual Blackberry style letter per key was terrible! Too much of an end user learning curve.

Nokia : never could remove thr bulk of their Communicator style phones .. E90 had such good promise but the N70, and other Symbian Freedom Os failed. Too much iver oayment for executives that really didn't do crap at all! They failed to expand I to the USA MARKET BEFIRE hTC went public with their hardware (previously being an OEM to Euro carriers)

At LEAST Samsung is working directly with THE best SoC manufacturer/designer in the world (Snapdragon for Galaxy) to improve upon standard performance and efficiencies.

Such partnerships is for internal learning of Smasung's teams to advance their own designs! Othe than Apple with their Apple Silicon, nobody in thr computer nor smartphone space had done this before - now after 2 yrs it's becoming the norm!

People here seme to forget once you become a MAJOR manufacturer there are Huge licensing fees per SoC you use by Qualcomm into all of your products across the globe. You need to FULLY understand economics and economies of scale and how that can be affecting by costs per unit sold affecting revenues & what is left for R&D to get ahead of SoC licensing

Apple learned this VERY early on using Texas Instruments CpU (iPhone OG) the. To Samsung SoC's!. Once they licensed Arm Holdings, Inc designs for customization they workd directly eith the FAB in TSMC and now using those learnings to come off of using Intel's CPU and co design motherhoards!

                            - Intel suffers as a premier customer (huge marketing losses),
                            - Intel suffers huge customer revenue and licensing,
                            - most importantly Intel looses HUGE innovation for refinement in power per watt efficiencies!

Make fun and hate Apple all you want - but without them Intel's Core cpu's would have NEVER happened!
                            - fun fact the original Core and Core2Duo debuted after years of collaboration with Apple back in 2008!

Now appy the same learnings with Smasung's Exynos team which Samsung is making Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chips for 2024-2025 and possibly onward.

There are OnLY 2 major FABS for SoC's globally in smartphone space. Think VERY hard on this before calling experts stupid !

                              Lol!

As I predicted due to runours and reports back in August - there will be w mix of processors used due to limited production supply from. TSMC foundry production (due to initial 3nm Apple Silicon high orders; yes they've been cut back yet quickly.filled production to the limits in 202= by competitors), is the reason.

I'm glad I'm jn north America to get the S24 with 8 Gen 3 yet with j itial positive resets of improved ray tracing + rdna 3 suppoet in the gpu hardware being close to non final testing to already come close to 8 Gen 2, I'm VERY confident it'll surpass the 8 Gen 2 in performance and come 50% of thr Gen 3.

Now how does it taste ALL you haters of Exynos in the orevious news threads since July huh?!!

Everyone should have options to buy what they want.
If you want to use less , you can use less.
No one will say "why aren't you using whole storage of your mobile? There is still % of it empty "
And don't worry 1tb will not increase the weight of your phone. 🙃

This should be a polarizing decision because you know that Samsung will throttle the chip like always.

Topofan, 06 Oct 2023That's the marketing blabla we've heard far too o... moreSd 4 Gen 2 and sd 7s gen 2 are real cpu available on market, check Redmi 12 5G there are hundreds of video YouTube which show battery life and performance, in short Exynos 1330 and Sd 4 Gen 2 now dominate almost all phones in their category when it come to battery life. I haven't see comparison with SD 695 which is real test but some 6nm like Mtk G99 fail to match 4Gen2 efficiency. So it's not like we speculate 4Lpp is available on market.

About 3nm Samsung did ship since 2022 it's just not in volume.
