480 is not low. Chinese phones advertise 1920 and 2160Hz flickering for flagships, but notebookcheck reviews show these phones have less than 240.

John DonGeilo, 06 Oct 2023I read all the time how bad OneUI is so I'm curious wh... more1. Stock apps: They don't ask for anti-privacy permissions unlike MIUI.
        2. General features like Samsung Pass or the video editor in the system itself.
        3. Monthly security updates for most devices (phones mostly).
        4. The thought out feel of it and nearly bug-free operation. When a bug exists, it's usually fixed within 3 months, whereas Xiaomi takes 1-3 years.

If you have used and rely on the stock Samsung apps, switching to something else is really difficult. You lose a lot of functionality with Googles apps, for example:
        - gallery app doesn't let you resize folders, meaning on tablets the entire screen displays two folders. There is no tablet optimization outside of OneUI.

        - google files app can't even display the number of files inside a folder. You have to go to details to see that.

        - I used google notes once and despite syncronizing with my account, it deleted all my notes. Happened with Windows once too due to a known bad update....

Hemedans, 06 Oct 20234lpp/+ is good, I dont know exactly power difference with ... moreThat's the marketing blabla we've heard far too often from Samsung about it's foundry. They also said they will beat TSMC in commercialisation of 3nm - yet Iphone 15 Pro is using 3nm TSMC and is sold, while I haven't found a single Samsung 3nm product yet (also outside smartphones).

So I wouldn't have high hopes for 4nm whatever process from Samsung. Only Gate All Around will bring them back into the game as TSMC only gets this on the 2nm node. But if Samsung cannot sell 3nm before TSMC is out with 2nm they will continue to be far behind.

Noone wants another Snapdragon 8Gen1 disaster chip what will exactly happen with the 8gen3 Samsung for and by Samsung foundry chip. Ultra is worthless on SD8G3 if it's from Samsung and not from TSMC.
It's not about Exynos vs Snapdragon, it's 90% about the foundry...
But just wait for Pixel 8 Pro and craptastic battery life vs S23Ultra...

Can someone explain what this would mean in terms of unlocking the bootloader (i.e. rooting) on the S24 Ultra? Would everyone now have the U.S.'s problem of locked bootloaders, or would there be a way then to unlock the Snapdragon units?

Those who need Samsung flagship, need to rush in stores to get S23 until supplies last... No matter what Samsung says about Exynos: more than a decade of experience has proven that Exynos is always worse than Snapdragon. And not only worse, but much worse.

Samsung should stick to its own Exynos chipsets universally and develop it, instead of sending SD chip sets to USA and Exynos chip sets elsewhere. If they think Exynos chipsets perform below par SD chipsets, they should give up Exynos altogether and give up their double standard!
