With EU's ruling of message interoperability slated for Q2-Q4 next year, this will not matter anymore. MLS will be the new standard that EU will nudge everyone (WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, and Signal) to incorporate it. I'm all for that. It just makes apps like Beeper and Sunbird all the more powerful.

    Apple is afraid. If it open it's fenced walls the trapped people inside will see what's on outside and will be gone forever. Why else a trillion company would be afraid?

                Depends on the person, but if you have an Android, they would consider you poor and unable to buy an iPhone.

                Android is stereotyped to be slow and laggy.

                    If Apple adopt RCS, it will still be Green and Blue bubble 🙄 how can this thing Google can't think of?? They think that if Apple use RCS the green blue bubble issues will gone?? How pathetic Google can be? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

                      you have to suffer, 10 Oct 2023What is this controversy. just use whatsapp or any other me... moreIt has to do with American system where you purchased a phone, most of them are contract-based (they almost never buy it in one-purchase like most countries) and it has the (low) cost of sending SMS that made them comfort using it until now, even free in certain conditions in USA, and how strong iPhone in USA, and the only market where a majority is using iPhone, giving the elitist mentalism that made iMessage popular and not WhatsApp. WhatsApp isn't popular on its home country and it's an outlier. Even Germany and EU countries preferred WA over SMS.

                        The EU will simply decide this and Apple will comply.

                          What is this controversy. just use whatsapp or any other messaging platform instead
