Tmobile, what are you thinking!!! Get with the program... no video. Who uses both hands to text? Why would they not come out with a phone that us drivers can use. Disapointed! it looks like a sidekick, and everyone knows those are for kids.

Hello all the people out there
Simply don't turn against anything which you have not experienced by your self. It is the way a person looks a thing. If you look positively, you will find benefits and good things. But if you are looking at a thing just to criticize, then u wont find anything good in it.
I think we must give time to Android, so that its all features are brought in front. As far as the HTC set is concerned, its looks are not good at all. Android looks a better platform with a open market and it will soon emerge with many applications. Any mobile maker can make Android capable mobile phone.
And people who praise iPhone, don't forget its too much limitations, i have one and i know many, e.g., no flash player, no mms, no text forwarding etc. These functions are basic and available in even world's cheapest set.
Google's Android seems good and it has long way to go. Its just only a start......

Well, the G1 looks quite cheap and unattractive. I am surprised that HTC created such an ugly device. Even low-end models from other manufacturers (e.g. Nokia) look more upscale. I would be extremely embarrassed to own one in view of the other available smart phones on the market. Design-wise Google is a boring company and may be that's why the G1 looks so ridiculously cheap and uncool.

T-Mobile has definitely started an new revolution, Open source = Future, no one wants to be tied down, freedom is what our country started with and definitely will be embraced by the greater populous. Google and T-Mobile leading the charge of freedom.

T-Mobile is a nationwide Revol, plain and simple and is a mess. They need more than the G1 to save them. Its the wing with android on it yippie!

you guys said it GSMarena...thats right man, i'm disappointed to this is pretty much a proto type just for testing the Android, Bluetooth transfer will be added later?? its like saying touch screen will be added later lol and yea after devices like the Touch Diamond and Touch Pro and for even Xperia, HTC can do way better and the home screen ain't to Eye Candy happy either, thats right man we wait for the next

mizzo, 23 Sep 2008this is just a bad iPhone replica (3rd party, accelometer,)... moreok for the "smart person" that said the accelometer is a copy and the 3rd party thing..............ok first of all get your facts right....first of all the accelometer is way older than the i phone even the n95 had it........and the 3rd party stuff its what Google is always been about the openness of everything and they announced this openness way back when they announce android way before the iphone

TMobile is the worst carrier in the USA. I switched to ATT and now I have more bars in more places. TMo kept dropping calls and this new foray into 3G with a new touch screen phone will be disastrous for them.

In continuation of my comment posted at 23:06, it seems T-Mob is capping the 3G transfer limit at 1GB/month, after which they'll throttle you back to a something we had back in the dinosaur era - 50kbps. Seriously?? AFAIK, this phone is being marketed as a 'Jesus phone' killer. What use are the dozens of Goog apps if the phone is going to remain in my pocket all day? T-Mob really need to axe their current consulting team.

Folks who think this is a beautiful phone need to get their eyes not just checked, but replaced. The entire freakin world waited for more than a year for this piece of junk? No video recording, no stereo A2DP, no file transfer and most importantly - no MS-Exchange support.. does Google think that mobile users are a bunch of morons? T-Mob just lost a bunch of corporate customers who use their phones as AIO devices.
Thanks, but I'll stick with my trusty Symbian devices (N95-2 and P1i).
And to the person who thinks SE should migrate to Android, please no! SE is known for making decent looking phones, not a dumb passionless brick.
