Huawei to launch new Kirin 830 chipset with the nova 12 series

After that, it came the 820, with 5G capabilities and 4k video recording/playback. Unfortunately, as it was released in early 2020, Huawei cancelled most of it's 820 orders to focus on the 9000, also built by TSMC but in 5nm. The 820 was only used on the P40 lite 5G, and even with that supplies were not enough, so later that year they released a youth edition, with the only difference being a Dimensity 800U

                  Huawei should allow third party softwares on their phones.

                  Risc-V is still in its infancy but they should transition into it slowly. First with HarmonyOS and dumb devices.

                      This will be the second phone to get a 60 Mpix front camera anyway its good Huawei still trying.

                        Kirin chipset is a good at all, my Huawei P9 lite runs more than 5 years and starts to slow down because of small storage capacity and battery life span

                          Remember that these people made their own space station after USA blocked them from joining the OG ISS. 🤣

                            Compatibility will be big issue, there is currently no Arm compatibility layer, emulator, or binary translator for RISC-V that I know of.
                            Meaning they'll need to splurge big bucks to write those or no Arm64 programs will work.
                            Of course, if they did make something it's great too, less and less US monopoly, more competition meaning customer wins.

                              Kirin 810 or was it 820? In the nova 7i was a badass. Way ahead of Its time. It's still faster than helio g99 and snapdragon 732g. The only midrange chip that could run pubgm at 60fps.

                                Let's see how it'll perform.

                                    Aparently it might be fabbed on Dual 14nm like the Kirin 9000S. Maybe is the same chip design but without HT and less GPU clock.

                                    There is also the rumour of the Kirin 720. Same Kirin 9000S chip with even less clock rate than Kirin 830.
