> It's like Australia is suing X for child abuse content while they were totally fine with that content when it was with the previous owners of the Twitter.

Did you mean:
Australia is suing X for child abuse content as the new owners no longer respond to requests to remove said content, when the previous owners of the Twitter did.

Dr. Watson, 18 Oct 2023If this spreads to main countries then the site's dead.I guess that's what he is try to do.

what ever the idea is, those fake users must be gone from this world.

Wurz, 18 Oct 2023The $1 per year income is insignificant to Twitter, but it ... moreYep, that's certainly part of the plan to control who posts and what. I'd never pay.

It's like Australia is suing X for child abuse content while they were totally fine with that content when it was with the previous owners of the Twitter.

I would think that there should be a better solution to deal with bots as this not-a-bot sign wont solve anything cause there be probably a bypass made for that and there be still a lot of these bots out there and with that sign not a bot on them too.

I dont think it be a large investment for the bot farmers who get like 10k bots for 10k dollars while the people who pay for the bot spam pay the farmers a lot more for the job then that 10k bots they paid for.

Also there is nothing wrong with the platform on it's own. The problem is with the world governments who want to have control over the speech so they are setting pressure on the advertisers to not advertise in that platform when the platform dont fallow the demands the governments give them.

Western world is more corrupt then the known countries that are corrupt.

All the problems they point at Musk were all there before he buy the Twitter.
He even show a lot of it to the world to know the problems there were and he tries to fix them. Now all point fingers at Musk like he made them in that platform

At the time when Musk didnt own the Twitter people got silenced and canceled when they dared to point out all these problems in there and all the worlds governments were fine with it also and didnt complain about them as long as there demands were delivered

Make it $100, it's not enough to eliminate bots, we also need to eliminate poor people from using X

GK, 18 Oct 2023You mean more Bots to quite. Will most people actually be willing to spend one dollar to access a cesspool of a social media site?

Plus... all the bots currently on the site will still be active. This only stops new bots and even then, the bot makers can spend a dollar if they want (though X would then have their payment info).

I had noticed that since the change from twitter to X, the rating of the app decreased significantly. The most common bad reviews were about the poor usability of the app, and that was literally after the change of the app.

The $1 per year income is insignificant to Twitter, but it allows real people to post real opinions, and inconvenient truths about the establishment, without said establishment being able to falsely accusing them of being bots.

But it also allows Twitter, and the U.S. government, to more closely track and identify a poster via these payment details.

Unless Twitter will alow truly anonymous payments, f.ex. using Bitcoin.
