What a dumb move. This will certainly cause many people to leave X, which is supposedly driven my ad revenue. Why would I pay a (admittedly cheap) subscription to access something I used to get for free while the user experience keeps getting worse and worse? Switch to Mastodon, folks; it's free and open source.

I put x.com on my browser and it redirects to twitter.com. Until X is hosted at X.com, calling it X while still hosted at twitter.com is stupid.

Dr. Watson, 18 Oct 2023If this spreads to main countries then the site's dead.Really? Same criticism was thrown when Elon fired "unnecessary" personnel. Months later, others copied him and had mass layoff too. What's stopping the likes of Youtube copying this? They have been fighting against adblock users for many weeks now. Era of easy money and ad supported business model is ending.
