I use iPhones sometimes but got a Android device currently. Apple are a strong company and got a lot of resources.
But I feel for the first time since the Pixel lineup was created Google is now a real player in the mobile space. So it will be interesting to see some statistic later. I think especially Googles Pixel a series are a hit among the normal consumers.

Ur logic is sick, android doesn't create the smartphone that run on Google android their created by other manufacturers in other words it's this manufacturer that makes them fragmented not android, cuz they can provide 3 to 4years os update but they don't.

That's straight from Google. Android is a fragmented mess unless you buy a Samsung or a top tier phone in the same price range. Meanwhile every iPhone made in the last 6 years gets iOS on the same day.

People don't solely buy iphone for quality but for the exclusive apps and brand recognition, you saying android is for poor people shows you just buy an iphone for show off lol, get rich so you u can stop talking about poor people and buy multiple devices like some poor android users 🙃

Everyone of them, that's why they are selling really badly 😁

Android suits for cheap phones where people aren't that demanding, but when people want quality and are ready to pay for it, very big majority buy iPhone, brainwashing people with paper specs doesn't work anymore 😉

IOS and Android ecosystems with all their apps etc is just too much. Microsoft had real chance, but they missed it with not having Nokia with them since day one. If that would have happened i think we would have third choice, now it's just too late for anyone to try.

High end smartphones are incredibly overrated, either Apple or Android. I would rather put the money on a future PS5 Pro or high end gaming PC.

A $400 phone can do 99% of what a $1500 phone can do. There is no desirability or FOMO at all that make me want to spend $1000 more.

There is no exclusive features. No superpowered SoC that make me wanna upgrade. The camera differences are minor, ask random people on the street the difference between iPhone photo and midrange photo, most of the time they will fail to tell the difference. Games run the same, but mobile games are trash in the first place so even if they ran much better it's not worth it.

This is the reason why I don't buy iPhone. Not because it's Apple, but because a $400 android does just about everything I need.

If Apple made a $500 phone that's not a gimped SE but just a normal sized iPHone with weaker SoC and camera, I would definitely consider buying it.

But as it stands, phones are simply not desirable tech objects, compared to GPUs, CPUs, consoles etc.

They buy phones on contract. iPhones won't even amount to 10% if they had to pay the amount upfront.
