Only until the pixel 8 did google decide to consider something comparable. And sadly other manufacturers only respond in kind, they want a captive ecosystem too, but without providing consumers much in return.

                      With people buying this many iphones, Apple is sure to keep their hideous pricing and other borderline insane policies. I hate seeing this trend, nobody wants to vote with their wallets and just keep buying/getting pressured into buying artificially limited garbage in the name of bleeding edge tech.

                        I might consider jumping the ship. The apps on Android are getting worse over time.
