Anonymous, 20 Oct 2023Samsung is the best out there. Are you kidding me?Are you kidding me? They sell their products at horrible prices, so if you want something reasonably priced from them it's terrible. And even if you ignore their atrocious pricing, their highest end products have limitations. 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging on a $1200+ phone? 25W wired charging on their $1800+ foldable? No micro sd card slots? They're getting rid of their periscope cameras soon? Their phones historically have multiple kinds of battery issues?

Their products are not the "best out there". Don't give me that nonsense.

Only the hardware (not even all other costs included) of device like S23 is easily $400 or bit more.

If these foldables would cost max at 400-500 euro then that 20 million would make sense. But these are like 1500 and up and it's not replacing laptop for you

For one foldable cost you can get latest standard S class phone and a new decent laptop that even have graphics card in it

That flip phone makes more sense as it makes the phone smaller folded but the fold is still large screen phone that unfolds to even larger screen is still too large.

We all know the big problem Samsung has is its current CEO.

He's trying to follow Apple steps into creating a walled garden. Just compared Galaxy S series after the S10 came out vs the current lineup. Its uninspiring to say the least...

MONOPOLY!! but every empire passes and every monopoly falls, if the Kingdom of Nokia passed, one that lasted 2 decades in a row and this giant fell faster, another one will fall and that of Samsung is not far away..

Regarding the 10x I have not seen anything official come out of Samsung, but if they do such a thing, their days are numbered

as much as I like Samsung and their hardware, the fact is simply that they lack the once great innovation, they have become the apple of the android world, drip feeding the small increments year on year, while the competition blazes past with 1 inch sensors, better foldables, more creative designs, more unique hardware, OK so those chinese phones software may not be as polished but the difference is not that big.
Heck rumour has it that Samsung will remove one of the big selling points of its ultra phones from the past few years the 10X optical, rather then improve it, they will just let the competition breeze past.
I have the 15 pro max and the S23 Ultra, and would really like a foldable but samsungs fold 5 is just gastly when put next to the competition, 5 generations in and yet the competition can release a superior device inside 2 generations.

It's not to sound like a fanboy of one brand or another, but I think that Samsung is very desperate, look what they tried to do in the Mexican market, yes, they already backed down hahahaha Samsung is very precious with Apple, and the Chinese brands . They are becoming more and more dominant and that's why their best phones don't come out of China hahaha 20 million s23 ultras weren't sold now imagine the glueable ones

Can barely sell 20 million S series now.
                    Imagine Z series.

How about fixing S and A series issues?

Samsung is falling behind the Chinese brands on engineering

My friends' Samsung Z fold 4 inner screen spoiled in a matter of a year. One's had the screen protector peeling off, the other's screen spoiled.

Just shows that foldables aren't ready yet and needs improvement. No wonder Apple isn't making foldables yet.

they'll fail to do it, and rightly so...
