BB wont be able to sell there device after they do this ... Anyway nothing is going there way even with new devices ... by doing this they will competing in apps with whatsapp majorly ... but whatsapp has already done the damage how much time it will take them to be same as BB ... BB wake up and reduce the cost of your devices, make the realistic and put android OS ... that can save u better ...

This is a mistake of the century for Blackberry. How can they think of making their unique selling point to be across board. If this is anything to go by, then Blackberry will never be a Market leader in the telecoms Industry.

I don't know if this is good or bad??
One side I think it's a great idea. Other side a lot of people had a bad experience with BBM. I don't know what to say about this.

Chrispy , 15 May 2013What's it gonna be called??? Because it most certainly can'... moreWhy can't it be called BBM on Android and iOS? BlackBerry is making the app not Apple or Google. The service is called BBM and the servers are owned by BB. Think of it like Google Voice, that's available on iOS and with same name and not Apple Voice.

That's the dumbest idea then there will be no need buy a BB, the should have continue with BIS that introducing it to other operating system. i see a down fall of BB.

I didn't get my Blackberry Z10 because of BBM, I got mine because the HUB is just so intuitive, the whole UI of OS10 is so much nicer to use and the whole swipe gesture system they have going on just works. I love the entire ecosystem of the OS10.

Sure it's not for everything but my Z10 literally does everything I need it to, and in the best way possible for me.

Addy, 15 May 2013Rim biggest mistake ever . Who wants to buy a BlackBerry ph... moreBBM is losing out to whatsapp and viber.. this is the only last thing they can do... the service like BBM was exclusive long ago... but its no more exclusive... there are tons of apps that provide similar or even better cross-platform services for free... OSs other than iOS and Android are doomed to die... had iOS been open source android would not have been born.. but now there is an efficient open source OS: android.. period

cant you see the positive fact, it will effect positively like like ppl just dont go for BBM they love the BB what as it is and now they can also connect with Android and iOS, before that ppl cant connect with other operating system and i think its good move from Rim side.
