pl2rts, 31 Oct 2023I am not a gamer for like 5 years now or something. I am ju... moreI don't agree on camera point for S23 series except zoom cappabilities which are really good, but then again how often I will use it... The main issue for Samsung is that I don't like their One UI and obviously not the fan if their main camera processing.
I would gladly have "boring" near stock Android because I cherish more fluidity and stability of the system which is not guaranted with One UI (or any other skin as they put weight to optimisation) which has multi apps of the same apps and it's oversaturated with functions and options that I will never use. I'm not saying it wouldn't check boxes for most of people, but not me.

I would gladly take something affordable like Motorola with their almost clean UI only if their camera results would be any better. They even always go with latest Snapdragon which is better in terms of performance and efficiency. And even with lack of those things found in Tensor chips I would still have most of my boxes checked if only the modem wasn't sort of problematic in Tensor chipsets. That thing alone is preventing me for buying a Pixel.
I don't care for performance so much and I think even mid-end chips like 778G+ or 782G are perfectly fine for most people if they are not gamers.

Samsung was always a great all rounder, but never excell in anything. At least that's how I felt using them for couple of years. Besides that I found them very generic and I don't like to have what most of people have. I'm wierd I know lol.

IQ200, 31 Oct 2023Nanoreview is where I like to go if I want some benchmark c... moreI am not a gamer for like 5 years now or something. I am just fed up on the lazy development in games that come out in beta stage and needs update to get the game somewhat ok to run and in the end they dont work too. Also i dont like the games that just release new games yearly while lose the custom servers that players can make on there own and even the custom maps and mods for games. When i was a kid there was also these gameboy but i never had them. My parents had a chance to bring computers home from work so i had them like from the age of 286/486 and so on. I am a pc guy who build it's own pc. Well last time i did it was like 12 years ago but still have it as i upgrade it time to time. But now it's in a point where i need to rebuild new but i dont play games that much or at all anymore so there wont be a point to build a gamer PC. And yeah i dont understand playing on phones. I was a first person shooter games player so i never even understood how to play games with gamepads with console cause i also never had them when i was a kid. Well i actually had one but that was before the time of playstation and xbox as the cassette you stick in to play like super mario and the like.

On my point for phones when they are in high price then they need to be with latest hardware on performance and also on cameras. I dont care for the stock android as it's for some reason more expensive then skinned android. Stock android have no personality for the brand it's like operating a phone in a DOS and then to pay more for it and lose out on other things on the phone.

Samsung standard S23 give you the best chip and best cameras with also good screen and metal frame with glass back that all are considered as premium. Google pixel ask same price but has like 2-3 years old performance wise chip in it even tough there tensor is the latest but perform like 8 gen 1. Pixel 8 should perform at least like 8 gen 2 as it come out before the 8 gen 3 come out.

Also i dont know what i am in the age language. I think i am millenial or close to the border of what was before millenial

But yeah, everyone already knows that Tensors are not for gamers. If you want the best value/performance you go to Realme or Xiaomi or other zillion Chinese OEM's, but if you prioritze some other things like point and shoot camera performance, some AI stuff, longer software updates and almost clean Android, then Pixel's have some value as well. But I get your point and why is performance number 1 to you and most of youth today. We use to have Nitendo Gameboy when I was a kid and this new Gen Z is born with phones in their hands. Most of Gen Z is not using a pc at all. They do everything on their phone. I'm not that kind of user. I guess I'm (too) old lol... but I do like to play games, but if I do play them it's only on my computer. But to each to their own. At least we have a choice and that's something to appreciate.

Not like the site we are in now. That site is kimovil where i look the Antutu scores when i dont see them in here and there are some that are not really accurate.
Never mind that i would still think the Pixel 8 sux when it ask premium price and dont even beat 8+ gen 1 or 7+ gen 2 that is top end of the middle class chip

Pixelsize in pro/ultra was 1.6µm now light is measured by 1.2µm sized pixels. Aperture of 1/9 gives a broader view, less useless information due to diffraction and more depth information. 1/4 is much faster and that's how the amount of measured light over time is higher. The 2 other camera's have aperture values of 1/2.0 and 1/2.2 and that information can also be used. The google pixel 7 and 7 pro use a sensor with exact the same characteristics. ( the isocell gn1 from Samsung). Anyway much more processing and I expect better video with such fast aperture sizes in all camera's.
