Why do they even bother? Xiaomi used to be really good- I have a Note 10 pro with a 108MP sensor (divided by 4 still gives DOUBLE the size and dwetail possible from this beauty!). It has a very good ACTUAL 20MP ultrawide, and an easily good enough 8/10 Tele.
New 5 years ago it was very expensive, but it is still a better camera combo than ANY Xiaomi since, and the 4K video is great, as are the panoramas from the main camera.
Another case of looks over pwerformance? Well, ladies, up to you!

The smaller sensor is a downgrade. Yes no matter how much light it collects, pixel size determines dyanmic range. Bigger pixels = more dyanmic range. So while this new sensor may collect more light, it will only make a brighter, but not necessarily more detailed or resolved image with probably worse dynamic range due to reduced pixel sizes.
If you compare Xiaomi 13 ultra (1 inch sensor) with Xperia 1v/5v (smaller stacked sensor) you'll see the difference. I found former having more details and dynamic range in GSMArena samples.
Let's hope Xiaomi doesn't reduce sensor size for 14 ultra

xiaomi, get your own style, dont follow apple or samsung. you did well in xiaomi 10 pro and also xiaomi 13 series. Keep going for mobile camera development, u done well but could be better. Finally, flagship device with flat display please

There are already review, Google play store and Gapps can be installed and used just like any other MIUI CN ROM. It is still powered by Android.

BOE's best screen will be pretty good so I think it's a good move. The Oneplus 12 remember will be a much cheaper phone than the Vivo X100 pro+. It should be priced more in line with standard models like the Vivo x100 and Xiaomi 14

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2023The design seems not as bad as first feared, good but still... moredude this new one is cleaner imo, i mean the only real difference is the camera island and while it maybe sticks out/isn't as flush with the back (which is a given, given the improved cameras and specs), it's at least a clean minimalistic design that's cohesive, the camera island is literally the exact shape as the shape of the phone, making everything seem perfect/perpendicular, 12 with the different size camera circles is not as cohesive design language wise, i clean clean minimalist, it's why i also enjoy Samsung's design or Sony's, Asus zenfone comes to mind too

I'm in China now and return back soon. If i buy chinese version right now, do you think I will have trouble with installing play store later without custom rom etc. someone in the comments below said because its not fully android it may not get play store certification.
