What about the ZL? Isn't that available from online UK retailers?
I'm more p!seed cause this Xperia T is doing my head in with these SOD issues, this, the ZL or the SP seem much better

Finally a decent "robust" phone. Not too big but still with decent hardware... and now they saying it's going to have limited availability? This sucks!
I really hope it will be sold down here in South Africa. It's exactly the phone I've been waiting for. Xperia Z is nice, but perhaps just too big.

If this article about the Xperia ZR is accurate then I just want to get hold of the Sony executives who made this decision and shake some sense into them!
We in Britain only ever got the low-end and far too small 3.5 inch Xperia Go/Sport until the massive Xperia Z, which for me is simply too big.
We were not offered the Xperia acro S in 2012. Nor were we offered the Xperia V when that was released around Christmas 2012. Both those phones had 4.3 inch screens which would be about ideal for me. I need a protected high-end smartphone but work outside (not in a suit) and cannot pocket a massive 5 inch phone. The ZR sounded just about perfect for me, except that now we read that the idiots who make such decisions at Sony will once again not market it here in Britain.
I have never once had a Sony mobile phone in my life but would probably get the ZR if it came here. If the company fails to release it in Britain as stated then I will no longer consider Sony for anything, even if it has a change of heart in future. I find the company so annoying in this respect that my patience is about to run out with it for good.
Message to Sony - I will NEVER buy the Xperia Z as it is TOO BIG. So release the damn Xperia ZR here in Britain or get lost for good. Is that clear enough for you?!

I would have bought this if it had launched in the UK so wont be buying another Sony if they cant be bothered to give us the choice others have.
