Samsung Galaxy S24 series tipped to support Ultra HDR

28 October 2023
That would be a nice way to utilize the rumored 2,500 nits peak brightness of the Galaxy S24 lineup's display.

HumbleTechie, 29 Oct 2023How about Dolby Vision? Dolby Vision is a proprietary format that is developed by Dolby Laboratories. It's not widely supported by image and streaming platforms.

HDR10+ is an open-source format that is developed by Samsung. And it's widely known and supported by all platforms

HDR = so much over saturation that everything will look like it was passed through photoshop first. it is a ridiculous invention even before the ultra saturation format.

I will not buy a samsung phone until they have implemented Multiuser functionality which by the way exist from Android 5 and implemented in all the mature android ecosystems. Why samsung, U R incompetent or what?

            How about Dolby Vision?

Good feature as it will be great to see the photo as it is. Hope samsung will feature an inbuilt projection that will make the viewing of images and videos in full size without having to find a tv or external projector.

Typical samsung, pay walling native android feature, only later in Q3 2024 they will give it to other devices.

This is just stupid on a tiny 6+" screen & will only drain battery even more.

If you want such experience go watch it on a 50+++" 4k-8k Television.

This is really good but would love more if they comes with at least 150W charging support and a charger in the box.
In 2024 having a phone for 1500 with a 15W charging at peak times is really tragedy.

Looking forward to upgrade from Note20 Ultra to S24U. I went for the N20U from Note9 and was disappointed back then. Even going from Note8 to Note9 was great, but the only thing N20U was better in compared to 9 was design, I still think it's the best looking phone I've ever seen but so many things just suck. 3 years on it are way too long...

If the screen will be flat, now just remove that stylus and give me a stock android variant and I'll go back to Samsung

Of course it will support HDR. The technology is neither new nor a "wow" thing. Except the examples used are very blatant 😀.
