This spring I've switched to S23U from my beloved S10. Everything is great with S23U, quality, camera, performance is irrelevant for me. The only thing I cannot get used to is its' shape and size. I really don't think I will keep it that long I kept my S10.

Apple is able to get away with this because a huge swath of the population will buy an iPhone no matter what. They just don't care. Even if the competition made the best flagship Android phone ever at $300, people would still buy iPhones more than that.
Meanwhile, foldable phones are still a niche, so it's harder to get away with tiny upgrades when your competition is innovating.

The gap between A and S series is ridiculous and is only occasionally filled with Galaxy S FE model. 778G is not exactly a benchmark after all these years (it's almost 3 years old chipset).

As a lifelong apple person, who has had every iPhone other than the 8, I've only had the galaxy phones.
S2 (amoled / thin, but UI was mediocre), S5 but that that flap was terrible and the S8 (great phone), this S23 ultra is the best phone I've ever owned. My iPhone 13 pro max was good but this is just too good.

-archaic thick folding design
-barely usable outer screen
-very visible and very feelable crease
-"invisible" (still visible under right corners) under-screen camera with 2015 photo quality
-no s-pen silo, no s-pen support for outer screen
-subpar telephoto unit
-subpar ultrawide unit
-subpar charging speeds, both wired and wireless
-barely average battery life
-still no 16 gb RAM option (a must for the so-called multitasking powerhouse)
-still questionable durability, after 5 generations
You see, you pay more than for OnePlus Open, but that doesn't mean you get a much better device. On the contrary
