Anton el duro, 01 Nov 2023I can understand that, but they will never give you a perfe... morethat is literally the closest thing you can get for a "perfect pack" as long as photography is concerned. you can't expect more than a 1 inch sensor (1/0.98" is larger than 1") and other image sensors with functions like telephoto and wide angle in the small upper part of a smartphone body. to put this up to a good measure, the panasonic lumix cm1 from 9 years ago, had a 1" sensor (not even 1/0.98"), fixed aperture that is not as large ( f/2.8, that is a 35mm equivalent of f/7.5) and is 2 centemeters thick and I'm not talking about it's camera bump. as for the lyt900 f/1.8 upcoming smartphones you're going to have a 35mm aperture equivalent of f/4.7 so let that sink in for a while.

they only invest on the hardware but, not on the buggy software. ex-ceo carl pei also say that oneplus flagships are full of optimization and bug fixing issues.

Do you have any idea how much Samsung sells in the Middle East and Asian markets? You have proof to go with your dumb claims?

unxpctd, 01 Nov 2023We need the cancelled modular phones back! 😩sadly at that time the smartphones needed a leap of faith into it that could end up in a great opportunities for manufacturer's and wide area of gadgets and customization and even non-released they are still missing their spot
like the companies could introduce a new chipset instead of redesign a phone people (in third world for example ) can get a new module for phone every year to upgrade but they dont change their entire phone for more than 5 or 7 years
or they could sell new skins also when we look at it this is the real lower "E-Waste" if they really cared about it!

Aierlan, 01 Nov 2023Both the Oneplus 12 and Realme gt5 pro will have a lytia se... moreLytia is now just name given to exmor for mobile. To set them apart from exmor used for photocameras/videocameras, security, industrial etc ....
Lytia does not mean dual layer.
Example: Lyt900 is modified imx989 to support DCG HDR and QDOL HDR.
Why would Oppo (OP and realme use supply chain through oppo to get stuff cheaper) would order new sensor with this tech when could use same sensor inside the foldable?

Ok, this is the scenario I was hoping for, after reading OnePlus Open review.
I am not interested on foldables but that camera section sure got my attention.
Now it all rests on price. And Black Friday prices for current gen hardware. I want to change my ancient OnePlus6T, looking at S23+ and Honor Magic5 Pro currently.
Don't know if I'll be able to wait an extra four months... :-(

ok, the OP12 just shot to the top of my list for my next potential phone.
The OP11 looked great but the cameras were basically the weak spot.
