optical zoom, macro capabilities
•5MP, ToF 3D LiDAR (depth/Laser AF)
All of these should have the dual-layer stacked CMOS technology on the sensors. Once we do something like this, software should be on full focus. Until then, good software isn't more important than good hardware.

966 is also for realme GT 5 pro, no way phone below $500 is gonna have it.
Too expensive tech.

Camera sensors like this are only installed on flagships. In 2019, mid range phone had one of the best camera phones, namely the Mi Note 10 Pro. Cost only $500.. The phone was ranked 1st on Dxomark and best camera phone on GSMArena.

Doesn't matter what they put in it, as long the software doesn't support the full potential of the hardware! That has always been the biggest flaw on oneplus, and only got worse after they became fully oppo os.!

OP 12 is basically going to be an X90 Pro+ with new main camera, no dedicated 2x, better screen and better SOC.
