YouTube Premium price increases in select markets

Mykl.Pluto, 03 Nov 2023You're really complaining about a service you don'... moreIndeed!...but do you find it as being normal to pay 6 euros for YT as long as you can have a mobile plan or a prepay sim with 5 euros?? Mind you can have videos without YT, having other app or site, but you can not have YT without internet, is it true? Too many people have forgot logics! If you want to have legal movies, music, amazon, fitness plans, health insurances and plans,news feeds, ...etc you will find out that you have to pay as much as your mortgage for that. This is not logichal niether normal! Stupid people are paying with their eyes closed , what is the next move of the provider??...i will tell you, INCREASE PRICES!
So, "vote with your pocket!" and as a posible consumer you have the right to complain and to make a statement that YT price is too high for what a video service might mean in your life.

          This is the price increase that the US and other markets got in April. It was announced in October of 2022.

            It's basically all out was by YT against only adblock app and not against ad blocking programs as probably all work to block ads and only adblock gets detected

                brave browser and many other adblocking browser can still do the job....

                  foxtube, snaptube, tubemate, ymusic and many more.
                  more then 15 apps u will find for youtube without ads.

                        Google makes enough money off from mining your data. No need to pay for "premium" subscriptions. They even scan your gmail and google drive stuff.

                              But I can add a couple more to the list, for anyone who might be curious.

                              PC:
                              - uBlock Origin
                              - FreeTube

                              Android:
                              - ReVanced (both for YT and YT Music, a root method is "safer" as it doesn't use MicroG)
                              - NewPipe
                              - LibreTube

                              Android TV:
                              - SmartTubeNext

                              There are probably more options out there, these are just some of them.

                                    It would be better if you could decide where your money goes and support the subscribed channels you watch instead of the trash content on platform.
                                    The very practices of YT as a company discourage supporting this behemoth and I'm not talking about the theft of personal data, but about unequal treatment of creators on the platform and moderation that doesn't work

                                      Pretty unsurprising decision. I'm sure there was a certain logic behind the decision, such as low competition and/or high demand in those areas. Of course this is nonsensical business logic and has no basis at all for us consumers.

                                        The same principle as with paying taxes, you reduce the amount until it is no longer profitable for people to cheat the system
