It's funny that so many people keep promoting revanced. Whilst a great app, how long before Google comes after them too? Yes you patch the app yourself etc etc and they are not distributing a prepatched APK, but it's not like Google is not aware of revanced and I am sure they will put an end to it soon.

First they piss people off with anti-ad-blocking and now want them to pay even more than before.
"We're going to keep prodding, it's not like you can do anything about it." seems to be stuck on replay in the heads of YouTube's stakeholders.
FreeTube on PCs and Revanced on smartphones/tablets.

I am in the mindset of a pirate who will always find a way to bypass and i wont pay for them ever. As they have always restricted access for paying customers and made the paying customer lives as hell as possible. In gaming with all the protection software that made the games unplayable while pirated versions work way better. Buying a dvd and then had all these time wasting copyright and lots of text to go trough before get to see the content. TV shows that wont ever come to your region tv channels and so on so what we had left was to pirate if they didnt want our money and give us a way to get it legally.
It's always matter of a time when there will be bypass on all of the ads and what ever protections
