                Post 2029 Apple are totally free, until then Qualcomm will have some bargaining power, This 3 year contract modem unit cost is most likely less than agreed in previous contracts

                Apple bought Intel 's smartphone modem division in 2019 to build its own modem.

                We do know there has been initial delays, the delays reported of recent have been based on speculative reports, with little or no evidence to support it.

                            so that means your paying a premium price for companies like qualcomm,samsung etc,etc for making an iphone yet alone for apples namesake.
