iPhone user doesn't care . They are slow and doesn't know much about how much tech has gone

60Hz in September 2024 which means Apple will have iphones with 60Hz (that cost almost €1000 in base version) for the most part of 2025! Wow...i always remember the music parody in youtube "only apple can make such amazing hardware software and services"...

Apple has no shame, but its partly thanks to all the influental tech creators who did barely bat an eye for it
Apple is only getting away with it beacuse we allow it..

Holy guacamole, 60 HZ on a $1000 iPhone? Hell, the $200 Galaxy A15 is supposed to have 120 HZ so the base iPhones are sort of a scam. Androids are superior IN MY OPINION!

I wouldn’t want 120 Hz that can’t go down to 10 Hz and would thus drain much more battery, so one would have to disable it and then have to pay for the higher component cost without using it. However, right now it‘s 60 Hz without a reasonable price. For iPhone 16, Apple should either increase RAM and storage at the same price, or reduce the price of the base model by $100

a 60hz android with 1x animation is smoother than an iphone with 60hz...
i even find iphones slow on animation, they just "look smooth" because of their bouncy animation (start of animation and at the end)... but, no way that a 60hz iphone is "smoother" than a 90hz android

This rumor is not new and has been around even before the iPhone 14 was announced.
The larger Pro phones are not new rumor either.

The 15 Pro is literally the last gem if you prefer a more compact iPhone.

Just wow. This company is now so brazen about providing the least amount of features while charging a royal premium for their fruit branded products. This is not as bad as the $1000 USD monitor stand, but they are inching closer towards anti-consumer CapitaLOLism dead-ends with each passing day.

I bought a base model iPhone 14 last year since I needed one for a few work related ARKit apps which don't have a Android/Windows/Linux alternative. The spammer who is saying that 60 Hz on iOS looks like 9000+ Hz on Android needs to get their eyes and possibly even their brain checked. It's not magic, it's just simple science and if some people are incapable of seeing what the Average Joe user can easily notice with their Average Joe eyeballs, then something is genuinely wrong with those other people's senses.

sanshiro, 20 Nov 2023We're in a time of Greedflation, where companies have ... moreGreedflation only exists when there is no meaningful 3-way competition. That describes right now. I'm aware of and wary of the CCP's grasp on all Chinese companies, but Huawei was doing so well that phones were going through lots of changes until they were banned, so it was a shame to see them thrown out like that.

Modern phones are all the same precisely because of a lack of competition, and I believe that if there is anyone who can change that, it's Google. Their global market share isn't amazing, but it's still around 3%, and their market share in Japan is 12% (compared to less than 1% just 3-4 years ago), so clearly they're getting more and more popular. The UK, where I live, is also doing well for them. I frequently see both people I know and random people on the street with Google Pixels, and I wasn't seeing this kind of thing at all just a year ago.

Paying a thousand dollars only to get a refresh rate from 2016

Sad life of iPhone buyers. Lol

They have zero incentive to put higher refresh rate displays on the vanilla models... And it is fault of consumers.

[deleted post]it's because ios scrolling is pretty restrictive
it doesn't scroll much and don't scroll that fast compared to android
it's just a illusion that tries to trick you
use a 120hz screen once and you will see it ,it is not ok for 800$
