-, 20 Nov 2023The Google Pixel 8 has 120Hz disabled by default. Does that... moreI want without the 120Hz at hardware level. I do not want its extra cost.

To me , it would be perfect device like Sony Z5 Premium, LG G6 or HTC U11+ with current internals like Ufs3.1/4.0, ddr5/5x ram, usb 3.2, gorilla victus 2, Exmor T, 4000mAh.

[deleted post]Only if you don't know what a high refresh rate looks like. As someone who is accustomed to 120hz, 144hz, 60hz iPhone is just as stuttery as any other phone out there to me.

60Hz in 2024 is crazy lmao.

No 120hz on vanilla iPhone 🥱 why? Because redmi 13 5g has 120hz ips under $150, Chinese phone will come with 240hz screen and 4k screen

I don't want to believe this, but it being Apple, I don't see the standard iPhone 17 getting 120hz either, let alone the standard iPhone 16.

I compared ios with android side by side. ios animations and scroll speed are like 2 times slower than android. that's why 60Hz transitions do not feel like stutter but run at a slower pace.

I wish I could find android flagship with 60 too.
                      And single rear camera.

Ke 90hz is more readable and smoother when scrolling. Apple is really greedy since we can find smartphones for $200 with AMOLED 120hz

We're in a time of Greedflation, where companies have become really greedy.

rizki1, 20 Nov 2023This is what happens if brands don't care about whethe... morethey know that most apple product buyers dont care about hardware specs and customers will still keep buying, so apple is just milking them as much as they can.

lewein, 20 Nov 2023Yes, make the poor pay and suffer, because they didn't... moreThe "poor" were also partly to blame for enabling this behavior, which is not Apple exclusive btw. But hey, it's their loans I mean their hard earned money. Who are we to dictate? 😂💸☠️

“who says Pro Motion is only coming to the vanilla models in 2025.”
                                Nice typo bro.

Anyway, I compared an iPhone 14 Plus with nothing phone 2. Honestly, I couldn’t even tell much difference in smoothness, 60hz iOS basically feels like 90hz.

"According to the leak, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will get a size bump - 6.27-inch and 6.86-inch, both 120Hz LTPO panels. The size of the 16 Pro Max display sounds a bit hard to believe so take it with a grain of salt."

6.26 vs 6.1? Weak. 6.7 vs 6.9? Meh. These jumps are small.

And I really hate 60hz for vanilla. For those who say "Why do you care? You use Android". I do use Android and it's sad to see how Apple sheep would buy tech thats behind in the competition for validation and/or a fashion statement.

You have become very greedy Apple, how is it possible that the iPhone NOT PRO, STILL COME WITH A 699HZ PANEL IN 2024? Even Google, which is a greedy old man, put 120 in the normal pixel 8...

Holding 60Hz is completely underestimating customers,
The technology has become cheap to manufacture, and the price for a 60Hz phone is pretty steep.

This is what happens if brands don't care about whether their phones are good or bad if they sell a lot and most buyers don't know the specs.
