We pit this year's Google Pixel 8 duo against each other to see which one is worth your hard-earned money.

The Tensor G3 only has the performance of a Snapdragon 7 series. It's a mid-range chip. Every review for some reason puts it up against SD8 flagships, where it loses badly, and then people make excuses why you don't need the performance.

If you don't need the performance, get a SD7 phone.

The Pixel 8 series is a mid-range phone with a nice camera. Once you realize this, the phone is obviously overpriced. The Black Friday sale price would have been a decent starting MSRP.

    If you want Stock Android and amazing photos with AI, maybe this is for you. Personally, it's not for me. I'd go with a different phone/brand. Maybe Xiaomi 14 or OnePlus 12 if you can wait. In the midrange game, Pixel 8a will be good against Galaxy A55 and OnePlus Nord 4
