    1) xiaomi phones often shut down same benchmark apps before complete the tests. Same is happening to 14/14 pro.
    2) Rog 6 Pro have huge drop until gsmarena turned on the "performance mode" (keep pushing no matter heat) and later atteched the external fan.
    3) Flip 4 with 8+g1 made by glorified Tsmc had less than 50% sustainability during the test.
    4) P60 Pro with same 8+g1: CPU down to 53%, GPU down to 36%.

    Now, tell me which heat control measure you like more.

    1) throttle during benchmarks
    2) decrease video framerate from 60 to 45 in secret like Xiaomi and Oneplus.

It beats the Xiaomi 14 in some areas e.g. telephoto and screen quality but loses in others e.g. ultrawide and ip rating. Other things are similar. Like I said though Realme is a lot cheaper

Checked the cost of a replacement Jn1 ultrawide for the Xiaomi 14 on Xiaomi's website. It's 60rmb, or just over US$8 and that's with profit margin built in so it's gonna actually cost the companies significantly less than that. You're probably talking a saving of around a couple of dollars

              I have Vivo x90 pro+ with 48mp uw. However the photos are just bad. Even with pixel combining. It's not sharp and not good when it comes to darkest scenes. Even with the night mode, it suffers next time to that giant imx989.

              I honestly don't understand the trend that takes attention to the zoom camera. I don't use it often except I'm in a concert or sth. I don't zoom in objects that far. The photo is just bad anyways. Zooming into moon... Well we all know the ai trick they use so it doesn't even matter.

              For me, uw is the most important. I don't like stepping back going far behind to capture a nice building. I always find myself struggling to fit many view into the objective. A nice forest with the all height of tress. Some might say main cam is enough. Of course it is but uw is life saver in most of the situations.

              I would like to have a better uw came than zoom one.

                Don't say such things, these people are very emotional over the materialistic things they have. When they buy sth, it's the best for them. Noone can say. And the rest of the phone are just trash. :)

                  Brands are producing phones to make revenue.

                  All they care is how much they sell.

                  And here we have people like fanatics defending, attacking people.

                  When you criticize sth, people come and say 'why don't you talk about positives?' how do you know I don't? I always point out the innovations each manufactures putting in.

                  When you talk positive, then we have those people coming and saying 'what about this what about that'. When I talk sth positive, does that make the device outstandingly perfect?

                  People lack logics. They can't even have a normal discussion without going out of the lines and making/taking things personal.

                  What a world we live in. Whatever you say whatever you point, there's one a.l out there gonna have problem with. Great.

                    Nice main and telephoto cameras, but the UWA is a pure meme and it's borderline hilarious to see how steeply they tried to cut the cost there. An 8MP type 1/4 sensor is downright horrendous for a flagship phone like this, surely they could've used at least something like JN1 and paired it with an F2.0 AF-capable lens.

Sony phones are absolutely *notorious* for severe throttling - GSMArena's test suggests that the Xperia 5 V loses more than half of its CPU and nearly 2/3 of its GPU performance during the stress test, easily one of the worst even when considering its small form factor.

                        The bigger 1 V doesn't perform very impressively compared to its rivals, either. Yes, many flagships do throttle quickly in the same test, but those from Sony are easily one of the worst offenders among them and it's not even funny.

                        The problem is there and it's pretty obvious that Sony needs to fix it, because it has been a thing for several generations of Xperia now - stop pretending as if it doesn't exist.

                          I should fix my comment. With the latest version, it's fixed. However, check out the history of an entire line. Stability eas always better with Chinese makers. Even Samsung was suffering from it exynos versions.

                          I'm not a Chinese manufacturer supporter. I just complained about my own phone down below. Same goes gt5 pro and other phone makers as well.
