If you don't understand FRAND licensing, it is fine. If you don't understand that from a consumer point of view this is what we all should want, that is also fine.
If you think unfairness is fine, then good for you.

I don't like unfairness. I don't like it when a company treats different customers unfairly, to benefit of some and not for others, causing unfair competition. You weirdly seem to like that.

Oppo just wants Nokia to be fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory. You support Nokia in being unfair, unreasonable and discriminatory. Strange.

Everyone with forget about this in few days and will enganged in new issues and still these aren´t in our control 😂

Shocker! China has been stealing everything it can, breaching every patent or IP and when they get caught they don't wanna pay what's fair.
The only way to deal with a scrupulous trading partner (China) is to replace it all together and stop trading.
You might win some battles, but in the long term you will get robbed and screwed.

Many of the patents Google acquired, and kept, upon their purchase of Motorola were also FRAND-licensing patents.

Ericsson also offers FRAND-licensing of their patents. Time for Nokia to get their act together as well.

You pay the price supermarket asks.
You do not pay the price you think you should.
If you think product XYZ is expensive, you can either pay anyway or not have it.

Oppo does not want to pay the price Nokia is asking.
But the price Oppo thinks to be enough.
That is the problem. It is wrong.
Nokia owns the tech, Nokia has right to ask price wanted, no matter if $0,20 or $5,00 per unit.
Oppo does not have right to put price tag on it.

rosesarerosie, 15 Dec 2023This does not make any sense, but okHow it does not make sense?

                            1) Nokia now only works with telecon structure, like Ericsson. Their last phone was before Microsoft acquired their mobile division.

                            2) HMD is not mobile division of Nokia. It is new company tied to Foxconn. HMD pays to use name Nokia to attract clients. Who would buy phone with HMD Global logo on it?

                            3) Many tech your phone use to make calls, connect to internet, NFC, bluetooth etc . Nokia was involved in all these stuff. With all Nokia tech, your phone is useless. Paper weight.

BMHater12, 15 Dec 2023Nokia needs to go, they're the reason why they stopped... moreBetter yet, Oppo and the entirety of BBK should just pay for something that they use, but don't own, so they can keep selling their phones anywhere they want to. Simple as that.

Heretic G, 15 Dec 2023Nokia should stop even existing. Shameful brand. Why though? Any company would do the same. Every company's primary responsibility is to their shareholders. It is normal to charge for patents. If a company invests millions, hundreds of millions or even billions in R&d to develop and patent new technology do you think it is reasonable to then give it away for free? No company will willingly do that. It would be a breach of directors' duties to do it. If they can't reach agreement out of court then it's up to the courts to decide on a ruling for their jurisdiction.

Nokia needs to go, they're the reason why they stopped releasing the Find X6 Pro and the Reno 10 series to the EU because of their stupid ass patents
