I guess If you really want to, you can also upgrade to the A54 or S23 FE, though I would wait to get the A55. The S8 is so old that the A54 or A55 could be considered an upgrade.

    depends on how you see a phone and what are your usage requirements.
    In very general sense, almost all models are losers due to the cost mostly as you do not need most of the features.
    the mid ranger are the real winners like the A54 or A70+ series.

    To me if i really had to choose 1 winner & 1 loser then the
    winner = S23 FE
    loser = S23+

      The base s23 is arguably the best "small phone" on the market. Calling it a loser is insane.

          S23 lineup sales are quite higher then S22. Vanilla S23 being not so far behind Ultra. Yet declared looser. On the other hand, not so cheap knockoff of S22+ is winner? Was it written by GsmArena or Samsung's PR department?

            I'm currently rocking a galaxy s8 and a pixel 4a. I'm looking to upgrade to something newer and affordable. I haven't bought a galaxy phone is quite a while, Which model do you recommend? They have so many different types of series now instead of just the S and Note series

                      Well A54 is great device no complains but innitial pricing was 550 which was garbage and even now many lot better specced flagships with much more accesories in the box outpreform A54 anytime a day.

                      S23FE and a winner??? Dude please change your dealer. A phone which cost mroe than S23 and is worse in litterary everything. Well your dealer just sold you something as bad as you spewed this.

                      To me S23 and S23 plus were more winner than S23FE. Honestly.
                      Z fold looser anyway most other competitors made a lot better specced devices for way less.
                      Same goes for Flip.
                      Samsung Tablets are the same litterary any other competitor for less price made better device.
                      S23 Ultra apart the S pen have nothing better compared to competition and a 1500-2000 eur device does not comes with charger, screen protrctor, case and only laughable charging speeds unlike other brands flagships. In case of Samsung it was a winner.
                      If compared with other flagships it was the biggest looser of the year honestly.

                            justasmile, 25 Dec 2023Loser: The brand's reputationI have a S23 Ultra (And Had a S22 Ultra and before a Note10+, the S22U was so bad that I kept using my Note10+ until S23U) and clearly you're right, since A52s 5G it's a downfall.

                            I'm eager to test other brand now or to keep my S23 Ultra for 2 or 3 years. But I miss a compact phone, packed with feature 😜

It's just not very innovative at all, and Samsung has fallen behind other manufacturers in what was supposedly their own area.

                                      S23 FE is a winner just because people liked it before? That's a non sense. The phone would have been a good choice only by changing the chipset to at least SD 8+ Gen 1, which performs way better than the standard 8 Gen 1.

                                        How is S22+3 a loser phone?
                                        It's literally a compact pgone with not a single weakness. There's only a couples of those on the market and this one is easily their best.
