I well would have paid the additional amount for the Qualcomm powered version and its X75 modem.
Neither the squared corners of the ultra are for me. In the current state I'll look elsewhere.
Sorry for Samsung, Europe deserves as premium processors as America, and other manufacturers understand this.

justasmile, 28 Dec 2023Most people would be plugging in at 30%, and 15 mins later ... morelife gives different situations what if I cant plug in at 30% ??? ever thought of that ? , unless you some bot or inside 90% of the time, it happens thats life , faster charging reduces that , next thing you'll start telling me stop criticizing samsung its my fault not carrying power bank with me right ??
I also have Xiaomi mi 11 which was released in 2021 and wireless charge is 50W , so sorry if I dont defend smasung charges speeds in 2023 while charging premuim for it

The 3x zoom camera should also be 12MP or 50MP. It's ironic to see a 10MP sensor still being used when the photo is upscaled to 12MP in post-processing. Nevertheless, I'm surprised the Galaxy S24+ is getting Snapdragon SoC only. I thought it'd also be getting Exynos SoC.

I've read that the reason Europe doesn't get Snapdragron like the US is because of some Qualcomm patents in the US that prevent Exynos chips from working properly on US bands.
So if we want Qualcomm chips in Europe, we need to ask Qualcomm to register the same patents in EU as well lmaoooooo

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2023Unless there is some proprietary charging method requiring ... morewhen you say lowers the manufacturer's costs , I think you mean more profit for samsung , whatever they can get away with, also some people need chargers, and when you sell on or pass it on they might also need a charger another point when you say usb c is universal the actual charging speeds are different with different brand chargers

ua82, 28 Dec 2023some situations phone already being low ,I get in need to l... moreWireless charging is inherently less efficient than wired because of the involvement of magnetic field. First, you're losing energy just to generate magnetic field (lost as heat). That's even before the magnetic field hits the coils in the phone and once more loses energy to heat in order to wake electric current, so you're looking at very high energy losses.
For wireless charging to actually charge 45W like wired, you would need something in the ballpark of 70W at the charging station on its own, at which point it's necessary to ask whether it wouldn't be more efficient to include 70W wired charging instead?
I agree with one statement - at the price range of S24 Ultra, not including anything in the box is just outrageous. I don't like the fact no charger is in the box, but at the same time I've given a middle finger to Samsung and bought 120W Baseus GaN charger that will outlive any phone and I'm future-proofed for quite a while. Let them have the bottom line, I spent the extra money elsewhere, but at the very least they could supply phone case in the package. Naked phone with single charging wire and SIM tray ejector is insulting at this price range.

I swear users look for reasons to be unhappy.

Aierlan, 28 Dec 2023These will likely be very good phones but the standard and ... moreMore doe not necessarily mean better as we are in a place of diminishing returns for most manufacturers on the hardware front, case in point Apple has had a great camera for years using pretty much the same sensor and sensor size and through software they were able to optimize the battery capacity they already had and so on and so forth. Samsung, Google, Xiaomi and the likes are pretty much in the same trajectory.
And for us in the EU a lower price is more than welcome seeing how we get shafted pretty much always when compared to US prices, i mean if the S24 really comes out at 899 Euros it'll put the final nail in the coffin for the S23FE which atm costs from Samsung here in the EU 700-750 Euros
Sure they could have added more but that would have resulted in higher R&D costs and a a higher price to the consumer

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2023These chargers do not cost $5 to make. Then they sell for ... moreI got a charger for like 10 euro 5 years ago that was 23W
Now with my F5 i didnt need to buy new charger so it is 67W
But i have looked chargers just to have like 2-3 usb on it to charge different things on the same time and you still get them for like 20 euro.
Must have something really broken upstairs when you think it's a good thing to go buy original Samsung charger and then spend 50 euro on it over buying something like Baseus or Ugreen for like 10-20 euro and it be future proof to last a decade when finally Samsung catches up on it's fast charging
