Craig gotta go. iOS has been an embarrassment since iOS15. It's a wonder why he is still on the job with such poor quality of the whole OS, while Forstall got booted just because of Apple Maps.

Exactly opposite of the other part you said.
Stable IOS never existed.
Back then with just 1GB ram tiny phone and lack of copy paste tech from android and symbian world with bare minimum of apps there was no space for being laggy and buggy.
Just like the very first versions of android until the kit kat been released.

STT, 05 Jan 2024Cloud...lame advice. what would even happen if anyone does not know their account details like email and password? also cloud service isn't acting like backup storage. they can control over your files as their decision. whether they can delete your files without telling the user. since the need of SD cards are slowly diminished on mobile phones, OTG is the only solution. if they wanted their sd cards to be always inside the phone, it's no longer possible until they could re-add the sd slot.

This is one reason I will never buy a phone without sdcard/expandable storage, happened to me twice losing important data in the process even when i brought the phone to certified repair/manufacturers themselves were never able to recover data after getting bricked from update.

David, 05 Jan 2024iOS has been getting more and more buggy over the past few ... moreI used iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 and the software stability was atrocious. Constant hang-ups, slow-downs and freezes. The iPhone 6 stopped updating at one point and I had to factory reset it. Not to mention Apple deliberately messed up the photos folders to make it hard for users to backup their recent photos to their desktop computer/file server. That was when I switched over to using Android phones and I have never wanted to go back to using iOS since. It was such a terrible experience.
Nevertheless, people using beta software need to realise that it's inherently unstable and could end up bricking their phones. They're basically testing the software for bugs. I'd be more concerned if software released as stable bricked their phones.

But overall iOS is still pretty stable but obviously no OS is perfect
