Latest Geekbench results show the Exynos 2400 is closing the gap to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

04 January 2024
The results come from a Galaxy S24+ and a Galaxy S24 Ultra, respectively, and the Samsung chip compares more favorably to its rival than it did a few months ago.

I decided to get the smallest Samsung S24 after my iPhone 13 mini’s battery started to give up battery life. - dear I made a mistake.

First of all the S24 feels and look really well made product.Very light and extremely fast(no lag),amazing sound from the speakers ,gorgeous display but that is it or at least with the Exynos version.

My phone hardly survived 4-4.5 hrs with minimum use.Settings were at 60HZ,no Bluetooth,no vibrations,no running apps in the background,no AOD,really at bare minimum.Couldn’t even finish a message or mail without the battery not going down by 2-3%.Very frustrating and annoying having a nice phone and just seeing the battery percentage dropping down faster than the light.I have just sent it back.Such a shame.Just to compare my 2.5 years old 13 mini had almost the same battery life with the same usage.Again,my friend’s SD3 S24 have no issues at all,so it tells everything about Exynos.

In 2025, it's still in the trial and error stage. The Samsung company might actually use Samsung around 2027. (SD 8 Gen 4 reportedly uses a Nuvia CPU)

It's not really 100% perfect, again it depends on the Samsung 4LPP+ fabrication whether it can provide better quality and is the first adoption for Samsung semiconductors using FOWLP. (Exynos 2400, depending on what country you use SoC) (In my opinion, when there is any development at all for the Exynos 2400 SoC, Samsung will stop making flagship SoCs for 1 year) (The Exynos 2400 already uses 4LPP+ generation 3 fabrication and carries the first technology using the FOWLP system) Samsung's semiconductor technology soc answer, both 5 and 4nm fabs, sometimes complain about heat. (4LPP+ is also reportedly using the Exynos 1480,1430 and Google Tensor G4 SoC. Exynos 1480 and 1430 may be released March 15 2024) (I really hope that the Exynos 2400 using 4LPP+ will have improved quality compared to the Exynos 2200 using 4LPE) (4HPC will only be released in 2024 and the new 4LPA release 2025)

I live in Europe (3,4 months a year in the UK, rest in Romania). I won't touch Exynos. Pixels all the way or Samsung with Snapdragon. Moved from an S21 Plus to a Pixel 8 Pro and the battery on my Pixel is about 40 to 50% better than what it was on my S21 Plus when it was brand new. This really needs to stop.
