Latest Geekbench results show the Exynos 2400 is closing the gap to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

04 January 2024
The results come from a Galaxy S24+ and a Galaxy S24 Ultra, respectively, and the Samsung chip compares more favorably to its rival than it did a few months ago.

10 cores and losing at all the benchmark,
good job Samsung 🤣👍

If it agresively clocked like Snapdragon, it could have even better results, but... We will see what real world tests say...

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2024They dont do good fridges. My coca cola always freeze in to iceSounds like you're setting the temperature too low then 🤣🤣

I was elated when I saw this point :

"At this point thermals and efficiency will be much more important. Can these two chips sustain their performance? How much power do they use when going full throttle? "

These two is wah I'm looking forward to,with numbers ; numbers are numbers.

Well, performance has never been the issue with Exynos, but thermals and efficiency. And they haven't shown anything so far to think those issues have been fixed, yet.

We need the "Thermal Throttling " test and not geenkbench ... the real problem is the overheating and not the performance !

Weaker, but still gonna generate more heat while providing less battery endurance.

Qualcomm has already released its chip so it can't really get better but Samsung still has another week and a bit to make it better so I'm very hopeful that Exynos will catch up, even if the bad reputation remains.

                        Who will win?

10 cores but lower clockspeed? (E2400)
                        or all big cores (D9300)

No one has issues with Exynos's performance at its peak, I know I didn't. The only thing I had a problem with was heat and throttling. The problem has been going on since the S8 days, admittedly Qualcomm's chips are plenty hot as well but they retain their performance more and the S23 series showed how good the qualcomm chips can be, they can be cool and fast enough, something the exynos chips sadly can't match, or at least couldn't. Now Qualcomm, Apple and Mediatek are weak, their chips throttle HARD, I hope Exynos and Tensor chips can improve upon these "benchmark" warrior chips and give banger thermal stability at moderate performance.

Bravo Sammy is finally closing the gap... 👏👏... Meanwhile Mediatek have already matched Snapdragon now with the Dimensity 9300 and consequently overtaken Exynos chips despite having a bigger gap to close.

Samsung should stick to fridges. They do make good fridges tbf

with the difference that the exynos will burn in fire and the snapdragon will not!!
