Latest Geekbench results show the Exynos 2400 is closing the gap to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

04 January 2024
The results come from a Galaxy S24+ and a Galaxy S24 Ultra, respectively, and the Samsung chip compares more favorably to its rival than it did a few months ago.

0z, 04 Jan 202410 cores and losing at all the benchmark, good job Samsung 🤣👍Not really, the Exynos has more cores but it´s just 2 extra efficiency Cortex A520 cores and the Snapdragon 8 gen 3 has higher clocked Cortex X4 and Cortex A720 that are far more important than the efficiency ones

Well, it's good to see Samsung being competitive so we can be over with idiotic Exynos crap thrown at European buyers, but what these results don't tell is the effect on battery and temperatures. What good is a comparable score when it will last significantly less on single charge or heat phone more. Because that was the main issue of Exynos 2100 and 2200. It has always been in the same performance ball park, but totally off battery and temperature wise.

Ati77, 04 Jan 2024Don't worry this exynos is made of new 4nm node it... moreEven if it is 1nm, as long it is made in a Samsung fab it is cursed.

The fab is the true issue, SD 8 Gen 1 had poor efficiency becauae Samsung fab made it.

Same with Nvidia RTX 3000 series, poor efficiency because made in a Samsung fab.

Imagine how great Exynos could be if it was made by TSMC, but no Samsung does it and saves a ton of money with it, and they can because people in Exynos regions swallow the fact Samsung doesn't care, and still buy the devices.

Terrible battery life and heat is no no for Exynos

0z, 04 Jan 202410 cores and losing at all the benchmark, good job Samsung 🤣👍It will be necessary to see if this configuration improves energy consumption. Powerful cores run slower and there are more small cores

when will samsung learn, its not the performance thats bad on exynos. it's the HEAT and power consumption. If they would half the power consumption/heat output of the exynos 2200 nobody would ever complain about samsung phones again..

Next year is what I'm more anxious to see if Qualcomm uses Oryon based cores rather than purely ARM designed cores. That could end up creating a massive gap between SD and Exynos
