HyperOS means an improved Ads engine with AI. That's what we call current tech trends...

rizki1, 06 Jan 2024yes, people asking a lot changes, try looking at other OS/U... moreYeah, you usually get used to whichever android software you are using in any case of you use it for a while. They all offer similar features.

Aierlan, 06 Jan 2024 There is not much meaningful difference for phones as far... moreyes, people asking a lot changes, try looking at other OS/UIs such as Samsung, the OS also has no changes... just like their hardware which is stagnant. even the design is the same.

rizki1, 06 Jan 2024you need to read more about this, you are not MIUI or Hyper... more There is not much meaningful difference for phones as far as my experience is concerned, as least nothing I have noticed in day to day usage. The whole purpose of the renaming though is not for phones. They want a system that is running seamlessly across multiple devices even ones that are not android based similar to Harmony OS. It's no coincidence that it coincides with the launch of their new car. I think that the entry into the EV market is the biggest reason for the Hyper OS system. It's not going to make much difference on your phone but later if you use multiple Xiaomi products that run the system there will be more seamless integration and integration with your car in particular would be a big thing. This makes sense. If brands like Xiaomi and Huawei can hook people into their ecosystems then they are less likely to switch brands. I often switch brands when I change phones based on pricing and VFM at the time but if I was heavily invested in one particular ecosystem then it would be more hassle to switch brands. That's how brands can really make money

Wow great! Its best allrounder premium flagship killer phone... I love this phone... 100% recommended

It's always those that never actually tried using MIUI software that had a lot to say against it.
Meanwhile, my Poco F5 flies blazingly fast through everything, whereas the similarly-priced Galaxy A54, the "BEST" Android skin OneUI, lags and stutters like hell in even the most basic of apps and tasks, as if it was a reborn device from 2012.

potato4k, 06 Jan 2024It's a simple rebranding. Anybody who thinks otherwise... moreXiaomi restricting bootloader unlocking and its increasing prices don't make its phones an attractive proposition any longer. I'd rather use ColorOS on a OnePlus or Realme, or buy a Pixel.

potato4k, 06 Jan 2024It's a simple rebranding. Anybody who thinks otherwise... moreYou don't know anything but you pretend to know... Xiaomi changed its name because they are ready to use the OS on many devices and not just smartphones... look they are already making cars and Isn't it funny if the car OS is MIUI? That should be for phones.

It's a simple rebranding. Anybody who thinks otherwise are naïve. Xiaomi operates at thin margins. They wouldn't be able to afford a complete overhaul in software.

MiUI originated as a custom ROM. Overtime, it is associated with Xiaomi phone. With Xiaomi branching off into making other non-smartphone devices and even EVs, and the fact that they need to lockdown their hardware and discourage unlocking for custom ROM, it makes sense they have to rebrand, to distance themselves from their origin.

If not, it would be a total irony that an OS that originates from a custom ROM is being hostile to custom ROM users.

Only Chinese phones call their UI as "OS"

11T already received their HyperOS update here in Malaysia. Not yet for 13T though.

Why is their 13T series better treated than their actual flagships (Xiaomi 13, Pro and Ultra)?
For example only the 13T and Pro have received the 5 years of OS updates commitment.
No word about the 13 series even though they're much more expensive than the 13T.
How does Xiaomi wants to be credible in the premium flagships ($900+) space with that behavior?

Jzgerardus, 06 Jan 2024Xiaomi is doing very well even for the more midling devicesI wouldn't call the 13T Pro a mid-range device, going by the price. It's not cheap like in the days of the 9T.
