So if I guess that the field of view of the periscope camera is 23mmx2.5= 57.5mm and if the pixel size is 0.56 micrometer, then you get approximately as many pixels from a distant object as with the Pixel 8 Pro (slightly more than S23 Ultra, but slightly less than Pixel 7 Pro)
And the effective lens diameter is comparable to Pixel 7 Pro and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The color filter array is likely Tetra²pixel. Not sure how good this color filter array performs. But due to diffraction, the difference between Tetra²pixel and Quad Bayer is maybe small here.

Even the Magic6 Pro has a bigger battery than the supposed "gaming phone" Rog Phone 8 Pro, with a much better camera setup, and it's cheaper. Hmm.

Also, it probably misses some tech ov50h has.
Brands prefer newer hardware.
This is same used by mi14, but each brand is giving different name to claim "exclusive hardware".

why did they go from the great 1/1.12" to 1/1.3" for the main cam? Surely the aperture change from f/1.6 to f/1.4 isn't THAT big. Seems like sort of a downgrade for better control over the aperture. A hit and a sort of a miss, not THAT big of a difference but still, kinda weird.
The periscope sensor is bloody massive considering it's ALSO 180 MP, if they had gone for 3x it would've been game over for everyone else, 2.5x makes it a lil bit less competitive at native zoom which is what's needed for videos. Seems like an awesome photography tool but not a videography one, as expected. inb4 this gets 1-4 more points than the Mate 60 Pro+ on dxomark and everyone says this is the best camera ever made.
