Galaxy AI service might not be free in the future, though.

David 040882, 15 Jan 2024So at this point there's barely any new hardware they ... moreYou are not suppose to buy a new phone every year. The guy who phone is 4-5 years old will buy the S25. If they made a phone every 2 years only, then it will cause people to get stuck with old technology phones after their existing phone is already very old. They should get the best technology available for their purchase to be worth it.

yes ..get 7 years os update and also quitely not admit it was inspired from the 7 years Sony XZ premium original design which now used on the s ultra .

When the s22 ultra debut . people was shocked how was pretty quite similar to Xperia xz P when put side by side.the only different S22 u is a bigger version of it.Next year s25 ultra please come another idea , concept if still want to continue rectangular design. Imean dont try to be look similar to other Enthusiast brand Luckily Sony mobile did not make noise of it.

        One less justification

lewein, 15 Jan 2024Excellent stuff, after you pay upwards of 1100$ for the pho... moreThey are getting excessively greedy.
          With no innovation..
But people agree on such terms.. To sell their info..

          7 yrs update is great!
My S23 will have 5 years of security updates and I'm fine with it!

As for AI it will be another way to suck more money from people after 2025.

rizki1, 15 Jan 2024OK, it seems like over 7 years has become the standard for ... moreIt isn't just two primary applications. There's also Youtube, PUBG, CODM, even Roblox. Even more obscure ones I wish to not list any further, but I do have to agree. 5 to 7 years looks like the standard for OS updates & patches nowadays, while merely changing any hardware specs for this year's S24.

Hhhhhh 7 years 😂😂😂😂💩💩💩💩, they think apple😂😂😂😂, iphone 6 still fine for call massage social media and camera, but Samsung s6 now just nothing, in 2030 iphone 15 still beast and Samsung s24 ultra in 2 years with green line and amoled burn😂😂

                We love to see it

OK, it seems like over 7 years has become the standard for software support... it also shows that the hardware on phones is now very capable, yet people only play TikTok and Instagram.

Excellent stuff, after you pay upwards of 1100$ for the phone, they sell your info for extra money, then they install apps that you don't want or need for extra money again, then they make those apps uninstallable, now they offer a new AI feature, for which you will have to pay to use it. GREAT TIMES WE LIVE IN!

So at this point there's barely any new hardware they can add to their flagships, so they promise 7 years of software updates. Then why would I want to upgrade next year to the S25, or after two or three years to the S26/27? I have 7 years of software updates on my S24 and the hardware will barely be improved from now since they've nearly reached the point of "the perfect phone". So I don't see how they expect to keep making sales from now on, keeping this in mind. I know it might sound crazy, but companies should start releasing their flagship offerings once every two years, so that technology has more time to advance and put actually much better hardware in their top-of-the-line flagship, rather than releasing one flagship small every year, but with small, minor improvements

Man apples software support is a joke

We have team android with 7 on Google, 8 on fair phone and 7 on Samsung

Apple's iPhone 16 will allegedly have 8 GB ram

What's the point of 8GB ram if you you can't offer 7-8 years of software update

Android's standard is basically 1 software update per RAM

                          I smell appeal bait.
Making the AI Feature free until 2025, only to throw the subscription fee at possibly 10k people who owns S24 and above after is just one way to lose branding trust to some who uses AI for their works.

                            Subscription-based...software updates....oh....no....
