Paying the same price and getting the sub-par chip is a kick in the teeth. No thank you.

Can anyone tell me why are they splitting it? They've been doing fine with the S23 and people liked it.

this year samsung i clearin the closet filled with those exynos trash, for now a25,s23 fe and now s24,24+ is out and they are huge downgrades,a35 and a55 also is expected to be on the exynos train too

i mean if exynos doesnt throttle and isnt noticeably slower or has worse battery than the 8 gen 3 its fine for the avg consumer right?

Apart from one or two perplexed people here and there, there's literally no positive comment on the S24 series. 😂 Sorry Samsung, but it's perfectly justifiable. Get ready for the sales to drop this year

They should have sold with their Mid tier Exynos 1480 in order to show the complete Exynos 2024 family. This is a joke.

They are clearly aware that the Snapdragon chipsets are still better than their Exynos chipsets, yet feel the need to sell their high-end phones only in selected markets with worse chipsets for more money. What a joke.

Why the hell South Korea - homeland - gets foreign SoC? :O

As a consumer.. this is seriously not cool Samsung. This chipset segregation between regions is seriously the worst part of Samsung flagships. Time will tell how the Exynos 2400 will perform against the SD counterpart. But if there is a discrepancy in performance and other variables then it's downright embarrassing.

I'm sure the phone will sell in good numbers as average consumers do not care about the spec sheet but for people who are aware of spec sheet, this is really sad.

Neither for me. I need a rounded phone with the Qualcomm X65 modem!

My only option now (I need two SIM plus eSIM) is the OnePlus 12. But previous models had bugs (e.g. lost the quick settings you have configured).

It's only slighty more powerful than 8 gen 2, long term gaming it will throttle hard, maybe the same as 8+ gen 1 for long gaming.

Why doesn't Samsung sell their own chip in their own country? Are they afraid?

Not less important is that Exynos verwion, beside it will be weaker, will also be more expensive.
And it will not come with all the smart functions which will be available on SD version in USA.

                          Cool, Samsung, very cool....
Don't cry at the end of the year when Apple take even larger cut in premium segment, and OnePlus & Xiaomi take rest.

Who is crazy to pay a 1000€ for s24 or S24+, when there is few other flagship models that are even cheaper!?

"Samsung and Qualcomm’s flagship chips are pretty close on paper "
Yeah , right, always close on papers then magically during indipendent reviews , always lagging behind (Exynos)

They really only want to push the ultra sales In Europe.
                              This makes no sense.

SD8 Gen 3 should be worldwide!
Whats the point in making the same phone with different soc for different regions??

No wants exynos soc.. They should know this by now!
                              Yet they insist!

Guess the S23 model sales are Going through the roof soon..

People outside the US should vote with their wallets not buying the non Ultra S24's.

Fk Samsung with this Exynos bs every year.

So I guess I will get the s23+ at a discount

I do hope they actually took the time to improve Exynos. They had an extra year to work on it, so they should've fixed or at least minimized some of the most well known problems, right?

                                    ...right?

I still find the split odd though. In fact, didn't some rumors say that the S24+ was going to only have Snapdragon in all regions? Or maybe I read it wrong or they ended up being untrue.

So no buy for me in Europe.

Not to mention that the Plus model is listed only with WiFi 6E. With current 5G speeds having WiFi 7 is a must for a hotspot.

What a pity. Last year I didn't pick the S23, which was a unique opportunity (and no, an old model priced almost at the same model isn't either a buy option).
