      Quality does not change between then.

I've had 3 flagship generations of Samsung phones and they all had the same terrible camera quality (from all lenses). I guess bad sensors (Samsung Isocell) + bad software processing = this mess every time.
        For top mobile phone cameras in 2024 only real options are Vivo X100 Pro or Oppo Find X7 Ultra. Waiting for more reviews on Oppo's latest flagship.

            So what i'm wondering is how the s24 ultra compares to this with its 5x camera

                ultrah, 17 Jan 2024Still no 8k@60fps??Do not ever shoot 60fps not even 720p if that's still an option. Forget 60fps exists unless it's superbright outside or if you want to do some cheap slowmotion.

                  I've never liked Samsung's processing. Once you've had a Pixel, few phones compare. If you want fast charging and are happy with some compromises to the camera, then a Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme or Vivo are reasonable options.

                    Noised, oversharpened, overexposed and overcolored garbage.
                    I feel like the Samsung's Camera phones prowess ended with S20/S21 series. Since S22 I feel like they are reinventing the wheel.
                    My almost 4 years old S20 takes tenfold more pleasant, better colored, noise-free and more detailed photos than this, lol, 200 MPx thing. Not to mention my current S23 that I hate for its pathethic bad camera.

If reality doesn't align with prejudice, then too bad for reality.

                                        The 10x looks worse than the 5x in those samples. It's worse than a simple cut. I hope they improve it with an update because it is unfortunate.

                                        It would have been better if Samsung had simply increased the resolution of the 10x telephoto lens from 10mp to 12mp using the entire sensor. And the same at 3x telephoto.
