Well Huawei is like a legendary Phoenix who rose from ashes to live again and way more powerfull than ever before. So happy to see that.
They were like best brand and with good enough suport they will prove it to the rest of the world.

all chinese smartphone brand gonna ditch google android and move to aosp or independent os from scratch, that is why google samsung partnership is really thigh now, if chinese brand ditch google that is mean they ditch GMS and Playstore one of the biggest income for google, all chinese brand combines is surpassing apple and samsung so its big losses for google

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2024Can't even buy their new Kirin based phones Globally yet.They have to ramp up production of their Kirin chips before they have excess supply for globally released phones. Right now, they cannot even satisfy the demand in China. It's a miracle they can even produce any Kirin chips under US sanctions.

Harmony NEXT should debut in Q4 with the mate 70 series
So yeah we should be able to export the P70 but I'll be updated to harmony 5 (NEXT) anyways, but there are some talks on how Huawei will solve the android apps incompatibility, so it maybe also usable outside of china, so yeah we should only wait and see, it's early stages and it should only get better from this point onwards.
And yeah focusing on the global development of the os should begin in 2025.

It ditches AOSP for OpenHarmony
ArkTS + Cangjie future = OpenHarmony = HarmonyOS NEXT core = HarmonyOS
Traditional Linux kernel and AOSP and other codes have been completely removed !
OpenHarmony ==> Aosp
ai pangu ==> gpt/gemini
ArkUI ==> flutter / React Native
Ark runtime ==> Android ART
Hongmeng kernel ==> Linux/unix
ArkTS ==> Swift/java/kotlin
cangjie ==> C/C++
It's a completely independent operating system with its own karnel and codes.
