Huawei says about 5,000 native HarmonyOS apps coming this year

The goal is to offer more half a million apps in the near future.

Wish they update all global phone that are still supported to HarmonyOS or at least EMUI 13. It is unfair how Mate 20 series that is over 5 years can get HarmomyOS 4 while global Mate 40 series don't even get EMUI 13 yet

    A new OS that only chineses will use...good for them, but it won't do any good for Huawei exports that are dead already.

    5000 native apps mean nothing unless you the well known brands/apps on there. If it's almost all Chinese apps, then it will be useless outside of China. Viable Android competitor? Or will it be the next Windows Phone?

    What apps they are will be more important then the amount of apps. I wouldn't buy a phone without my banking apps or messaging apps. I'm sure ppl in China will feel the same

    Considering everything thrown at Huawei by the US government, their achievements appear miraculous. They will not give in.

    Finally a hope for a serious 3rd OS and Huawei know how to do things to it's very end no matter all the attacks towards them.
    Since 2018 i had the hope for a new OS 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
