Titanium definitely does not dissipate heat better than aluminum. Ask anyone with a Ti flashlight, it hits its thermal limit much quicker than an equivalent aluminum one.

I used all S line galaxy since S2 to S23 but this year i pass, for a 1300 USD i demand a better phone, no a re fried phone ( and I´m a samsung fanboy)

PhoneFreak45, 24 Jan 2024How you can look at this and not think it's propaganda... more"...no longer trust gsmarena..." Trust God indeed. (Peace!)

How you can look at this and not think it's propaganda, is.. not beyond me. It's a very artful piece of propaganda. It includes criticisms to make you think they couldn't possibly be lying, right after doing just that. Everything is contradictory. Where the curved display made the S23 Ultra feel nice in the hand and modern, the flat display on the S24 Ultra is a welcome addition. Where the 10x zoom range on the S23 Ultra was impressive and very versatile, the 5x zoom range on the S24 Ultra is more practical. Where using snapdragon was "the right choice" for the S23 series, for the S24 series it's actually always been a narrative that exynos is objectively worse. I won't tell you what to think though. Go back and read the coverage for yourself. After this, I no longer trust GSMarena. Before, their samsung bias was annoying, but bearable. Now, it's grown to the point of me not trusting their reviews anymore. I leave you with a few quotes from last years coverage:

"Only Snapdragon was the right choice
Moving exclusively to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset makes a lot of sense and is beneficial to the end user. Qualcomm's latest SoC is superb and Samsung likely understood that its own Exynos wouldn't be able to compete at a consistent level come Galaxy S23 series time."

"While the 200MP primary camera is good, it's the versatility of the entire camera system that makes this one of the best phones to have for photos and video. The Galaxy S23 Ultra gives you an ultrawide start at 13mm, moves on to a 23mm main camera that can also deliver a 2x mode (46mm?), then onto a 69mm 3x camera, and all the way to 230mm with the unique 10x camera. It's an unmatched range of zoom for a smartphone. And as rumors peg the Galaxy S24 Ultra to drop the 10x camera in favor of a 5x makes the Galaxy S23 Ultra potentially the last smartphone with an optical 10x you can get"

If they made frame flat like z60 ultra or red magic 9 pro it would have looked slimmer than them but the frame is curved and fat, so yeah ur right, (maybe for better grip or something since they made the back flat too, idk)

An excuse of an article for an excuse of an upgrade. "Exynos is back and that's" BAD. "3x plus 5x camera setup makes" NO sense whatsoever. Etc.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2024So you like thicker chins than symmetrical one's? Lol,... moreI prefer overall less bezels, rather than symmetrical. I saw both the S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra in person and I prefer the older model, but even the S24 and S24+ are better. Thin AND symmetrical is possible, ths S24 Ultra just isn't that, not at that price.

The best upgrade ever and that alone made me pick the ultra up: flat display!

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2024More can be done. But price is what keeps brands from doin... moreAre solid state batteries a thing? I thought they were still in development. Is 5g even popular anymore? I didn't get the "hype" for it and I still don't. There are very few scenarios when 5g is actually useful and not just a gimmick. Tool free sim slot won't get introduced most likely due to security reasons and because almost nobody switches sims often enough for that to be a problem. The rest of the recommendations I either agree with or I don't know almost anything about so I'd rather not comment on them.

Just like the Samsung internet and google chrome.
Another 20+ examples can be said.
Sorry Sammy i dont want to be rude or hurt you but my point is valid and you are not a hot take anymore.
The only plus in your favor is fact that you are just like Apple available in 202 out of 206 countries in world. If others brands would have this chance your popularity would go down as in past MySpace.

Cpt.Power, 23 Jan 2024Apart the AI upgrade which is tottaly useless honestly and ... moreYup, especially the persons who use their smartphone only for Whatsapp, Telegram, Instagram, X, and so on. Even the S20Ultra that is still the most expensive Ultra Samsung ever made (in the launching day, correct me if I am wrong) is useless for the persons.

In particular case, Live Translation is useless for any native English persons who think that everyone should be able to speak English. So, you are right, all aspect S24Ultra brimgs is not so important and overpriced (overpriced in the Android phones, I think)

Apart the AI upgrade which is tottaly useless honestly and new CPU and GPU iin other words new overheating throttling useless exynos there is litterary nothing new worth to have.
Hit to take??? Maybe for 2/3 of what is samsung asking for.
Litterary every competitor gives lot better phones for lot better price sually with all the necesary accesories in box.

Nick Tegrataker, 22 Jan 2024Samsung and Apple are running the "Who can get away wi... moreIf the S22U had a TSMC-fabbed SoC I'd agree. But it doesn't, even the 8G1s are from the Samsung fab and the 8+ was literally a "we switched back to TSMC and look!" move. That'll definitely show its age in battery life and smoothness way before the S23U, which is probably the one to get - there should be a spike in refurbished supply (sending prices down) from annual upgraders, and the daily experience should be smooth for as long as the battery holds out. (The seven-year update cycle is great, but it probably needs a battery swap ability to make the most of, and I don't think that's easy with these glass sandwiches...)

NeonHD, 22 Jan 2024The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+You're joking. Official renders are one thing and the recent review - and real life images - show it's nothing of the sort. They're not even uniform with the bottom one clearly being larger than top/side bezels, even if only by so much. You can clearly see that in the 3rd section of the review, "Our lab test (...)" in the first image on the site, where a person keeps it horizontal to present full-screen picture - there's no mistake the bottom lip is larger.
                                    https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_13_pro_4g-review-2657p3.php

I was kinda expecting something like a S24 PRO and the S24+ is almost like it. The only thing it needs is the Ultra Main Camera. 6,7" S25 Pro next year?

And the S25 can be a bit bigger with 6.3" fhd, 50MP cam, 8 GB base model to appeal to Samsung+ users that don't want total high end phone. It does not need to be tiny anymore as the demand for mini phones is decreasing.

sadh, 22 Jan 2024Sales figures don't lie, how? S23 is outselling S23+True. The number of user reviews on the biggest tech site in Holland is 5 for the S23+ and 18! for the small S23. Still the demand for smaller devices is decreasing. The mini wave seems to be over and the S24+ might go shoulder to shoulder with the small S24. Just a wild guess.
