But for someone with S20 or S21 it will be a massive upgrade i feel. Afterall how many people tend to upgrade from S23 to S24 series, very very few...So S24 series, especially S24+ and S24 Ultra, individually are a promising product.

Do not say that you've got a discounted one, for example because of the boxing day, this is another case.
What they normally do is they create another product line that is cheaper, for example the A series. Or other competitior will be in.
So, based on your opinion, the S24U (and the older Ultra) should be the most valuable price because of S pen...well, No present smartphone has a stylus lol

No, one or the other. If it's basically the same phone as last year, which these are, except the Ultra has now moved from curved display to flat, so that phone and the small S24 should be cheaper, but especially the Ultra because of said display change. (Yes the 50mp periscope is an actual upgrade, but that's it.) The only phone I accept to be more expensive out of this series, is the S24 Plus, with them finally moving back to the higher resolution display of the S20 Plus. However I don't like SoC split, even if both chipsets are good, or let's say the Exynos is actually the better one this time around, they should just use one of them, so no matter where you live in the world and where you choose to buy one of these phones, you would get the same product, which you SHOULD.

Depending on which features do I want more, vivo X Note, or Infinix Zero Ultra, I have both and just switch my SIM card between them, whenever I feel like it. If I had to use only one phone, it'd be the vivo.

You want no bezels on one hand, but ultimate rigidity and shatter resistance on the other. Doesn't work like it when Gorilla glass is the outermost material.
You want innovation and revolution every year, but you want the phone to be cheaper than what it is now.

In the world of Android phones, we've got a lot of choices so we can judge that Samsung is overpriced phone from year to year (if talking about the price).
In the world of iOS phones, we have one and only phone, iPhone that is also overpriced one from year to year. Even, the cheapest iPhone can be said "expensive"
So, I think Samsung think that they are in fight with Apple only, in every aspects. Personally, I like Android so I choose Samsung brand over other brands.

Interesting how they could make the bezels look very nice and slim on the S24,S24+ and even the S23 and S23+, so why not on the S24 Ultra? This is the most expensive slab phone out there on the market, yet it doesn't look expensive at all. As for iPhones, yeah they aren't improving much either in terms of bezels, but at least they haven't downgraded them either.

But some recent bad things in my private life made me delete my Apple ID. So, no more iPhones in near future for me.
That leads me only to buy Samsung phones. Maybe Pixel or OnePlus as alternatives, but in Czechia they are not so well spread. Mainly Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi here.
But I am not upset to be stuck with Samsung phones. For me they offer some good things. They are not perfect by any means, but still they are good.

The chin is gone and the bezels are symmetrical now. Idk what phone you're comparing this bezels to but these are as good as they get. ZTE phones have slightly thicker bezels with chins. Xiaomi's 13 Ultra had huge bunny ears (compared to this) and a chin, the Find X7 Ultra has slightly thicker bezels all around and the top and bottom are thicker as well. Vivo's X100 Pro is a lot like Oppo too, close to being symmetrical but not quite and slightly thicker bezels on the top and bottom. Same goes for Realme as well.
The only other phones that had better bezels than the S23 U were the iPhone 15 PM and the Google Pixel 8 Pro, symmetrical bezels all around with no bunny ears or chins. I use an S22 U, I can definitely see the improvement to the chin and the symmetry. But idk about the top bezel, maybe it's the same or it has been improved I'm not certain but there's a definite uptick in bezel reduction that brought it on par with the P8 Pro and the 15 PM. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro gave a glimpse through the E6 panel of how much Samsung has improved and the S24 Ultra is basically the same I think, maybe slightly better.
But you do you my friend. Not saying you're wrong but saying that they could do better for the bezels without compromising the flat screen for this price is a tough to justify point. They should go for higher color accuracy, gamma accuracy, PQ EOTF tracking, etc. for this phone. Bezels and brightness are easy to market, those aren't, heck it's tough to find reviews for those. Everyone tests SRGB but not DCI-P3, GSM arena does a DXO mark on us and just says "the DCI-P3 is color accurate", bruh drop the numbers? lmao

Samsung and Apple are running the "Who can get away with extremely minimal yearly upgrades on their high-end phones" race and it's just.. sad.
I can happily recommend other people to get the Galaxy S22 series over the S24 series unless they have an impulse to get the newest and greatest features for the sake of having them. Whether you're getting it for work or entertainment, S24 Ultra simply isn't a substantial upgrade over S22 Ultra, let alone S23 Ultra.

I predict catastrophic sales for the S24 and S24+,the S24 Ultra will sell like S23 Ultra. You can not come with 6.2 inchi display upgrade and Exinos 2400 Downgrade from Snapgragon 8 gen 2 and increase the battery with 100mAh and that's it. We the buyers are not stupid. This is why Apple become 1 and Samsung lost. The upgrades from this year are less than the upgrades that Apple makes to their phones lineup. If i want a good Ai Android i buy Pixel phones. If i want the best future proof software update i buy Pixel,if i want the best android camera i buy Pixel. In this moment i can find a brand new Pixel 8 in my contry with 620 Euro comtract free and the Galaxy S23 at 584 Euro contract free and the S24 at 759 Euro contract free. The conclusion in yours!

I honestly wonder what that little 10MP 3x telephoto is even doing there. It seems pretty useless. A tiny sensor with a tiny lens... you might as well just crop the main cam.
the 5x seems like a proper telephoto lens. The 3x just seems like a waste of space.
