I'm excited for this.

Good job Nokia. It will be fantastic to see their higher-end devices surface in the coming months, but to be honest, I may just get this one in the mean time. :)

Please do bear in my that 450 USD is for Hungary. IT products are *alot* cheaper here than e.g. in Germany.

rag on nokia all you want, but there is a reason why there are more successful than samsung, se, or LG... they have develop series phones and know what they are doing... the 5800, if at $450US, would be a steal... how many phones out there package a touchscreen phone with 3.2 inch screen, wifi, gps, 3G, quadband, all with perhaps the easiest usuability known to man... sure nokia fans will support nokia always, but unbiased opinions will realize this is a great phone for a great price... and just you wait until the n-series flagship touchscreen comes out... :-)

Is Nokia releasing a new version of E71 with touch technology?
Considering E71 features and user customization ability, I guess that would be the cutting-edge phone.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Well done Nokia.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will go on sale by the end of 2008 only in the following markets :
                                  - India
                                  - Taiwan
                                  - Hong Kong
                                  - Indonesia
                                  - The UAE
                                  - Spain
                                  - Russia

Other markets (UK, North America, China, etc) that aren't included in the above list only be getting the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in 2009 at the same time.

According to industry analysts, Nokia plans to sell about 10 million touchscreen handsets in 2009. But, I think is that this number won't be reached with the 5800 XpressMusic only.

Nokia xpress music 5800 is not soft touch screen phone. Its can work with hard touch by finger and stick. Otherwise Its all is good. I think apple iphone is best for touch screen.

sorry lol this is not nokia 1st touch screen device

if is not nokia bring the accelerometer into the mobile device-
                                      5500 Sport

now iphone cannot auto rotate easily

"this phone more popular than iphone"
why? nokia got more market than apple
and this phone have been waiting by a lot of people for almost half year since the video leak

slow touch responsivness, cpu, can't be compared to the iphone, actually its a try-out for nokia to introduce its first touch screen phone. which phone are you competing? the iphone? noway! you are far from apple's radar.
Nokia, are you listening to yourself? come up with some new innovations, feature-packed phone, guess this phone will be entitled as T-Mobile G1 rival, not the iphone. even T-Mobile G1 is far better than this.
