Same guy just posted battery test. Still not real comparison, as someone needs to compare S24 and S24+ with both processors, as these 3 this guy has doesn't even have the same battery.

The far more important question / issue with Exynos is signal reception.

Mills, 20 Jan 2024For those who are wondering about Exynos hate, it's mo... moreit 100% used to be slower and/or warmer, the revisionism is craaaazy. the issue is, or at least was, Samsung's manufacturing process. How can people still say this after the TSMC manufactured 8 plus gen 1 smashed the old one in efficiency which was literally the same but manufactured by Samsung??

Once again the performance wasn't the concern of people, but thermals and efficiency..

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2024That's why people say you can boil an egg on the back ... moreSnapdragon 808, 810, 888, 8 Gen 1 and 8+ Gen 1 say hi. (The last one only improved battery life, but it still overhearts and reaches similar temps that the regular 8 Gen 1 reaches. Tested by me using 3dmark stress test)

For those who are wondering about Exynos hate, it's more app support and efficiency than it being slower and warmer. Exynos is a good performer; it just have some kinks to work out. Most app/game developers for mobile optimize with Snapdragon and Dimensity than Exynos in mind. If your a commoner (like justasmile, DarlingYext and Ipsdisplay to name a few), you'll be familiar with stuff like "Exynos bad", "Exystove" and the likes.

Being fair, Exynos hasn't had the best reputation really but Exynos 1480/1430 and 2400 could turn that around.

Goog PR work. Samsung seem to have outsourced some sensible guys to boost the Exynos S24s. The fact is Exynos gets aged quickly and gets very slow much faster. None of the reviewers review it after continued use as the main driver after an year and there for we only see the feedback when the processor is actually still fresh.

or maybe they went with 8 gen 3 since everyone knew 8 gen 3 would be good and there would be some skepticism of the 2400
or maybe they didnt know the 2400 was good🤷‍♂️

If Exynos 2400 ends up to be very good, I am still curious to why Samsung used SD 8 gen 3 for S24+ in some regions? I mean, I would have understood if all S24+ models got Exynos 2400.
Anyway, good news for Exynos chipset.
For me is even better, as I am liking more the shape and size of S24+ than S24 Ultra. Also, I am living in Europe so I can get only the Exynos variant (without importing it of course).

R4TM4NN, 20 Jan 2024As an owner of a 7 year old exynos s6, this is so relatableReally, you complain about that year, with the S6? During that year, Exynos was the saviour of the S-series, as the alternative was Qualcomm's air fryer, the 810, which was just horrible. So horrible that LG preferred the 808 for their G4, hoping it would heat less, having fewer cores.

Exynos 7420 was the best mobile processor of 2015. It's hard to understand how they dropped so much after that.

Impressive. I hope that being an AMD uArch, it ends up having decent and open source support like Adreno has

Both arm and powerVR GPUs have such rubbish software support that they should be banned from being integrated into any SOC. I decided to give MTK a try, and all I had was a headache, emulators, hw acceleration of websites, among other things, all full of bugs and incompatibilities. It's not a small bug, it's the type that closes the game and prevents you from playing.

Ravuh, 20 Jan 2024Yeah, no. Not even on the level of Mediatek's. Hey be serious for once!! Samsung techs are looking forward to compete TSMC (likewise back then as usual) and not just Mediatek's matters who only knew their Name got slapped on a Soc.

And mind you I'm typing from a Mediatek Soc powered device. I'm not backing anyone here.

... Do proper research before any arguments

                                ... XD

Fanboydestroyer, 20 Jan 2024true. the issue is samsung fabs and their inefficient processes. Even if Samsung is behind that alone doesn't mean soc should be worse.

Snapdragon 865 and 870 was made on Tsmc 7nm, current Samsung 4nm is better than Tsmc 7nm why Snapdragon 870 were better than 888 and 8 gen 1 in thermal? There were lot of things than process, most people ignore how bad A710 and A510 were.

E2400 will be fine because A720 and A520 solved lot of issues with previous cores.

War Thunder could be a good benchmark game for future comparisons, as it's a PC game already. I've played it and the graphics are close to the PC version. Plus it has ray-tracing which makes it an even better benchmark game
